Deepening Digital-Financial Cooperation — GBASE Debuts at Shenzhen Non-Banking Financial Institutions Exchange
On March 14, the 2025 Shenzhen Non-Banking Financial Institutions Digital-Financial Exchange was held in Shenzhen. Jointly organized by the Financial Committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Promotion Association, the GBA Financial Innovation Institute, and co-hosted by GBASE, the event brought together IT leaders and fintech service providers from Shenzhen's securities, insurance, fund, futures, trust and finance companies.
As a database vendor with large-scale deployments across the financial sector, GBASE showcased scenario-based IT Application Innovation solutions and shared practical use cases of how GBase databases empower financial institutions' digital transformation and service efficiency.
Digital transformation in financial services is gaining unstoppable momentum. How to strengthen digital capabilities, build digital product systems, optimize digital operations, and elevate digital intelligence levels has become an urgent priority for every institution.
At the same time, as financial institutions accelerate online services and diversify their business scenarios, applications such as real-time transaction processing, big data risk control, and robo-advisory demand ever more from databases — high concurrency, low latency, and elastic scalability.
During the conference, Zhang Shaoyong, Chief Architect of GBase 8a, delivered a keynote titled “Full-Stack GBase Database Innovation and Applications in Financial Services.” He shared how GBase databases help financial institutions seize digital transformation opportunities through database localization.
Zhang pointed out: “Financial institutions' digital transformation and IT Application Innovation initiatives are entering a critical phase. The efficiency and security of data asset processing have become core competitive advantages. Domestic databases must drive agile business innovation through technological breakthroughs, building an autonomous and controllable intelligent engine for the financial industry.”
Zhang spotlighted the company’s full-stack database product portfolio and illustrated its capabilities with non-banking financial institution case studies — such as a real-time trade surveillance system at an exchange, a regulatory reporting data warehouse at a securities firm, and a database replacement project at a property insurance company. He demonstrated that for diverse business scenarios across banking, insurance, securities, funds, futures and other institutions, GBase databases deliver comprehensive support for core business systems, data warehouses, and general business and office systems.
To date, GBase databases serve 200+ financial institutions with over 20,000 database deployments, building deep experience in project delivery and technical services and establishing themselves as a foundational pillar for financial digital transformation.
At the event, GBASE's exhibition of “Outstanding Financial IT Application Innovation Solutions” drew significant attention from attendees. Through in-depth exchanges and discussions, numerous financial users and partners affirmed the product capabilities and real-world performance of GBase databases.
Centered on digital-financial services and financial digital transformation, the exchange provided a platform for peer learning and technology sharing among non-banking financial institutions through technical keynotes, experience sharing, interactive discussions and product demonstrations. Moving forward, GBASE will continue to deepen its commitment to the financial industry, delivering secure, stable, intelligent and efficient data products and technical services to drive the high-quality development of China's financial sector.
