Strengthening the Chain, Data Drives the Future | Hunan IT Application Innovation Summit & GBase Database China Tour Changsha Stop Concludes Successfully

On March 26, under the guidance of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hunan Province, Changsha Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and other units, hosted by the National Next-Generation Independent Secure Computing System Industry Cluster and the National Chain Secure and Reliable Computer Industry Promotion Center, the "2026 Hunan IT Application Innovation Summit & GBase Database China Tour", co-hosted by GBase and Hygon Information, was grandly held in Changsha, Hunan.

The event, themed "Strengthening the Chain for Industry Prosperity, Data Drives the Future," brought together related leaders from the Hunan Provincial Cryptography Administration, Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Provincial Department of Finance, Provincial High Court, Provincial Political Consultative Conference, Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Provincial Department of Education, Changsha Data Bureau, Municipal Party Committee Office, Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Advanced Manufacturing Industry Development Promotion Center, Municipal Big Data Center, Municipal Advanced Computing Industry Chain Promotion Office, Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, as well as industry experts, upstream and downstream enterprise representatives totaling nearly 400 guests, to discuss new opportunities in the IT application innovation industry and envision a new digital future for Hunan.

At the beginning of the event, Zeng Xuewen, Second-level Researcher of the Information Technology and Software Service Industry Division of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Hunan Province, delivered a speech, fully affirming GBase's active role in promoting the development of domestic databases and extending a warm welcome for the company's establishment in Hunan.

During the cluster promotion segment, Yang Yiyi, Director of the National Chain Secure and Reliable Computer Industry Promotion Center, emphasized that the cluster will focus on the "dual-core, one ecosystem" strategy, concentrating on technological breakthroughs and ecosystem co-construction, working with partners like GBase to jointly build a highland of independent secure computing industries, injecting strong momentum for Hunan to create a nationwide leading independent secure computing industry cluster.

Subsequently, amid warm applause, Director Yang Yiyi and other leaders jointly awarded GBase's wholly-owned subsidiary established in Hunan—Hunan GBase Data Technology Co., Ltd.—the plaque of "Key Enterprise of the National Next-Generation Independent Secure Computing System Industry Cluster."

As a pivotal node in GBase's nationwide deployment, Hunan GBase Data Technology will undertake three core functions: R&D center, technical support center, and marketing center. Based in Changsha, it will provide customers in Hunan and surrounding regions with more accessible and timely database products and technical support.

After the plaque awarding ceremony, Ding Mingfeng, Chairman of GBase, delivered a speech.

He stated that as one of the earliest domestic database vendors, GBase has been deeply engaged in the industry for over two decades, always adhering to independent innovation in core technology as its foundation. Currently, GBase databases have served tens of thousands of users across over a hundred industries, with more than 100,000 running nodes and managing over 500PB of data in total, making it one of the very few independent database vendors in China to achieve large-scale deployment in critical sectors such as finance, telecommunications, government, and transportation.

Ding Mingfeng emphasized that GBase firmly believes in Hunan's development environment. The establishment of Hunan GBase Data Technology fills the gap in database basic software within Hunan's domestic IT industry chain, and will undoubtedly inject strong momentum into the regional IT application innovation industry. In the future, the company will continue to collaborate with local ecosystem partners to jointly propel the independent and controllable IT industry chain from "filling gaps" to "strengthening advantages."

In the keynote session, Liu Haijun, Regional Head of GBase for Hunan, delivered an insightful presentation titled "Rooted in Hunan, Flourishing Across the Province—Contributing GBase's Strength to Supplement and Strengthen the Chain."

He reviewed GBase databases' deep engagement journey in Hunan: from the Changsha Metro Line 5 data management platform to the core business systems of Bank of Hunan, and further mature applications in government services, electric power, telecom carriers, and many other key areas, GBase databases have been deeply integrated into Hunan's digital construction.

Liu Haijun noted that with the official launch of Hunan GBase Data Technology, GBase will fully leverage the advantages of localized services, focusing on Hunan's competitive industrial clusters such as high-end manufacturing, intelligent connected vehicles, and digital cultural creation, to provide more demand-oriented and timely technical support and service assurance. Through the localization of the "root technology"—database technology—it will continuously contribute core strength to "supplement and strengthen the chain" of Hunan's IT application innovation industry.

Xu Ji, world-renowned Oracle and PostgreSQL database expert and pioneer of AI-powered database operations, presented "Intelligent Empowerment for O&M Security Foundation—Transitioning System Operations from Institutionalized to Intelligent in the IT Application Innovation Ecosystem."

He pointed out that as the IT application innovation ecosystem becomes increasingly complex, system operations are moving from traditional institutionalization to a new stage of intelligence. By introducing AI technology, operations can leap from passive response to proactive early warning, intelligent diagnosis, and self-healing of faults, truly building a solid security defense for IT application innovation systems and making operation management more efficient and reliable.

Zhang Yu, Database Business Manager of the Ecosystem Development Department at Hygon Information Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a speech titled "Surging Core Tide, Win-win Ecosystem."

She noted that Hygon has built a dual-driven autonomous computing matrix featuring "CPU + DCU." The C86 series CPUs enable seamless replacement of the x86 ecosystem, while the DCU handles multi-modal large model training and inference tasks. Through the Guanghe Organization, it has linked over 6,000 partners, completed over 10,000 software and hardware adaptations, and established a complete ecological closed loop covering chip design, software development, and industry applications, rapidly converting technological innovation into industrial value. Hygon will continue to deepen its computing foundation, gathering more innovative forces through an open ecosystem, and jointly build an independent and controllable digital future.

Li Hongwei, Vice President of Baolande, presented "Digital Intelligent Ecosystem, Middleware Strength: Building an Evolvable Base for the Full-Stack IT Application Innovation."

He introduced that Baolande's full-stack IT application innovation middleware products have reached industry-leading levels in performance, stability, and security, successfully achieving large-scale substitution of similar foreign products. In core business systems of critical sectors such as government, finance, and telecommunications, Baolande's products bear high-concurrency and high-load business pressures, providing solid and reliable underlying support for digital transformation, propelling China's IT application innovation industry from "usable" to "user-friendly." Li Weiwei, Industry Ecosystem Director of Kylinsoft Co., Ltd., delivered a speech titled "Building an Independent and Controllable Ecosystem, Kylin Operating System Empowers Thousands of Industries."

In his speech, he mentioned that as a local security operating system enterprise in Hunan, Kylinsec has long been dedicated to building a rock-solid security foundation, and has repeatedly participated as a core member in provincial and ministerial-level science and technology projects and outstanding solution applications.
