Fortifying the Digital Foundation of Energy: GBase Presents at the Petroleum and Petrochemical Enterprise IT Exchange Conference

2026 China Petroleum and Petrochemical Enterprise Information Technology Exchange Conference and Oil & Gas Industry Digital and Intelligent Development Summit Forum was successfully held in Beijing. GBase was invited to the conference, showcasing its full-stack solutions and benchmark practices in the petroleum and petrochemical industry, and driving the sector’s digital and intelligent transformation with its independently developed and controllable database technology.

This conference was co-organized by the China Petroleum Enterprise Association, together with major energy groups including CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, and PipeChina. It brought together leaders from national ministries and commissions, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, industry experts, and enterprise representatives to engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as construction of industrial internet platforms, achieving independent and controllable key core technologies, and cultivating new quality productive forces in the oil and gas sector.

Amid the wave of digital transformation, the petroleum and petrochemical industry bears the critical responsibility of national energy security and is accelerating independent innovation in core technologies and securing supply chain controllability. With its enterprise-grade features of high performance, high reliability, high security, and easy scalability, the GBase database provides a solid data foundation for the digital and intelligent transformation and domestic IT innovation initiatives of the petroleum and petrochemical industry.

At the conference, GBase highlighted several benchmark application results in the petroleum and petrochemical industry:

  • Supporting PipeChina’s digitalization: GBase database fully supports the localization of PipeChina’s oil and gas pipeline SCADA systems, providing robust support for data acquisition and monitoring at large-scale control centers. Currently, GBase database has been deployed in 15 production and management information systems of the group, with over 2,000 database instances running.

  • Empowering Sinopec’s intelligent oilfield cloud platform: By deploying multiple GBase products, including centralized transactional, distributed analytical, and data lake solutions, the group achieved unified management and shared access to six major data categories, effectively promoting resource aggregation, data synergy, and business innovation.

  • Serving the entire industrial chain: GBase database has been widely deployed in core business segments such as operations management, oil and gas exploration, refining and chemicals, and product sales across petroleum and petrochemical enterprises, delivering stable and secure database products and technical support throughout the entire production and operation process.
