Intelligence Drives the World, Smart Energy Fuels the Future | GBASE Unveils at the 2026 World Intelligence Expo
On May 28, the 2026 World Intelligence Expo, co-hosted by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin). GBASE (General Data Technology Co., Ltd.) presented its full-stack GBase database products and cutting-edge AI innovations at the event, building a solid data infrastructure for the intelligent industry with its self-developed database portfolio. Meanwhile, Ding Mingfeng, Chairman of GBASE, attended the "Smart Connections for a New Future – Tianjin-Hong Kong-Macao Entrepreneur Collaboration Symposium" to discuss coordinated digital development among the three regions.
Under the theme "Intelligence Drives the World, Smart Energy Fuels the Future," the Expo focused on the core concept of "AI+," showcasing new technologies, products, and scenarios where AI empowers diverse industries. From foundational chips, computing power, and large models to smart connected vehicles, robotics, and hardcore terminals, as well as smart healthcare and smart home applications, the Expo presented a complete industry map across the entire value chain. Spanning 130,000 square meters, the exhibition attracted over 740 enterprises and institutions.
GBASE showcased its full-stack GBase database products and AI innovations, with exhibits at Stand T05 in Hall N31, the Phytium Ecosystem Zone at Sugon's stand in Hall N21, and the Tianjin Enterprise Zone in Hall N27. The displays highlighted the company's database portfolio covering analytical, centralized transactional, and distributed transactional scenarios, as well as its capabilities in providing data infrastructure support for industries in the age of AI.
On the morning of May 29, during the bustling Expo, the "Smart Connections for a New Future – Tianjin-Hong Kong-Macao Entrepreneur Collaboration Symposium," organized by the United Front Work Department of the Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center. Ding Mingfeng, Chairman of GBASE, attended and delivered a speech as a representative of Tianjin's private entrepreneurs.
In his remarks, he reviewed GBASE's 22-year development journey in Tianjin, noting that Tianjin boasts a complete IT application innovation industry chain, from chips and operating systems to databases and complete machines, while the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is accelerating smart city and cross-border data flow initiatives, making the two regions highly complementary. Ding introduced that GBase databases have already been successfully deployed in government and financial sectors in Hong Kong and Macao. Going forward, leveraging Tianjin's industrial ecosystem, GBase will provide full-stack database support for smart city, digital government, and cross-border trade scenarios among Tianjin, Hong Kong, and Macao, promoting a collaborative model of "mainland technology export, Hong Kong-Macao empowerment for global expansion."
GBase 8c, a flagship product, is a next-generation AI-native database with multi-model, multi-mode capabilities. Its multi-model storage supports row, column, GIS, time-series, and vector models, natively enabling hybrid retrieval of vector and scalar data. Multi-mode deployment offers primary-standby, distributed, and serverless (compute-storage separation) options, catering to high-concurrency access for AI Agents. Recently, GBase 8c passed China's national security and reliability assessment, becoming one of the few certified distributed transactional databases in the country. This not only validates the technical strength of GBase 8c but also signifies that the entire GBase product line (covering analytical, centralized transactional, and distributed transactional databases) meets national standards in terms of technology autonomy, supply chain security, and product maturity.
Amid the deep integration of AI and the real economy, databases stand out as the "root technology" of data infrastructure. With high performance, high reliability, high security, and easy scalability as enterprise-grade features, GBase databases have become a critical data foundation for intelligent transformation across numerous industries. Today, GBASE's cloud-native data warehouse GBase 8a MPP Cluster, shared-storage database cluster GBase 8s, and the next-generation AI-native database GBase 8c are deployed at scale in key economic and social sectors such as finance, power, telecommunications, and healthcare: from big data platform projects at major state-owned banks to dispatch model library construction at State Grid, from China Mobile's data cloud projects to core business systems of urban rail transit, from the Ministry of Finance's national budget compilation system to smart healthcare systems at top-tier hospitals.
To date, GBase databases have been deployed across more than 100,000 nodes, managing over 500 PB of data, providing 24/7 stable support for critical business operations and safeguarding traditional industries' digital transformation with proprietary technology.
From underlying multi-model storage and vector retrieval to large-scale deployments in industry core systems, GBase databases, with their full-stack self-developed technology, empower the intelligent industry to advance steadily on a solid data foundation. Moving forward, GBASE will continue to deepen its core database technologies, delivering safer, more stable, and smarter products to enable intelligent transformation across all sectors.
