Certified Again! GBase 8s Passes CAICT's Specialized Test for Shared-Storage Architecture Databases!

Recently, in the "Trusted Database" testing of the first half of 2026 cohort organized by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), GBase 8s V8.8, a product of GBASE, successfully completed the product test for "Database Basic Capabilities Based on Shared Storage Architecture." Prior to this, GBase 8s V10 had already pioneered the test, becoming the first database product in China to achieve this certification. With this, GBase 8s has now completed testing for both V8.8 and V10, signifying authoritative validation of its key characteristics—high availability, high performance, and high scalability—under the shared storage cluster architecture. This provides finance, telecommunications, energy, and transportation industries, as well as other critical sectors, with a more diversified and stable enterprise-grade database choice for their core systems.

The evaluation was conducted in accordance with the "Technical Requirements for Databases Based on Shared Storage Architecture" standard compiled by CAICT. It systematically verified the database cluster capabilities across five dimensions: shared storage coordination, basic functions, high availability and disaster recovery, compatibility and adaptation, and security capabilities. The results showed that GBase 8s V8.8 fully met all the technical indicators specified by the standard.

GBase 8s, a shared storage-based database cluster from GBASE, is a mature and reliable enterprise transactional database. The V8.8 version that passed this test, just like its subsequent V10 version, supports a cluster design built on shared storage architecture. The successive completion of authoritative CAICT tests by both GBase 8s V8.8 and V10 demonstrates that GBASE has established comprehensive product coverage on the shared storage cluster technology roadmap, while also reflecting the market’s urgent demand for and strong recognition of high-end Chinese transactional database products.
