DTCC 2026 | GBASE GBase 8c Technical Session: From AI-Native Architecture to Industry Deployment
On August 20, the 17th China Database Technology Conference (DTCC 2026) opened in Beijing under the theme "Integrating Data, Converging Intelligence, Leading the Future." As a premier annual event in the database industry, the conference brought together numerous technology leaders and database experts.
The conference featured a dedicated 「AI-Native · Data-Driven IT Innovation — GBase 8c Database Technology Special Session」, showcasing GBASE's innovative practices in "GBase 8c — from AI-native database to industry deployment" across multiple dimensions, including AI-native architecture, intelligent operations, unified data foundation, and ecosystem collaboration.
Multi-Model, Multi-Form
GBase 8c's Path to AI-Native
Mr. Zhang Yi, General Manager of GBASE's GBase 8c Product Division, delivered a keynote titled 「Multi-Model, Multi-Form, Intelligent Connectivity for the Future: The Next-Generation AI Database GBase 8c」 .
He noted that in the AI era, data volumes are growing explosively and AI agents introduce massive concurrency — requiring a fundamentally new database architecture. In his presentation, he provided an in-depth analysis of GBase 8c's storage-compute separation architecture: compute nodes scale elastically in seconds, scaling to zero during idle periods with near-zero cost. He also demonstrated GBase 8c's AI-native capabilities — unified vector and scalar fusion retrieval, and multi-model unified storage — dramatically simplifying and accelerating AI application development. He also shared real-world case studies of financial and telecommunications customers who have achieved architectural transformation with GBase 8c.
Looking ahead, GBase 8c will continue to deepen its AI-native capabilities, further improve multi-model fusion efficiency, and introduce native inference capabilities — making the database a truly natural foundation for AI applications.
AI-Powered Operations
From Reactive Maintenance to Proactive Self-Healing
Mr. Chen Yan, Head of GBASE's AIOps Product, delivered a presentation titled 「AI-Empowered Autonomous Operations: Building a Trusted Data Foundation for Domestic Databases」 .
He explained that GBase AIOps leverages a core technology stack of "operations knowledge graph + large language models," building a comprehensive intelligent system covering data collection, model analysis, intelligent diagnostics, automated inspection, and knowledge accumulation. It incorporates a range of operations tools and anomaly detection models, supports natural language interaction for complex operational tasks, and drives database operations from reactive response to proactive prevention — significantly reducing reliance on expert human experience.
Going forward, GBase AIOps will further integrate large model capabilities to continue lowering operational barriers and help build a smarter, more trusted operations ecosystem for domestic databases.
Unified Integration
Architectural Synergy of Serverless, HTAP, and AI Workloads
Mr. Wu Mingyuan, Head of GBase 8c Product R&D at GBASE, delivered a keynote titled 「Unified Data Foundation: Architectural Integration of Serverless, HTAP, and AI Workloads」 .
From a product R&D perspective, he systematically presented the full picture of GBase 8c V6, the next-generation AI-native database. GBase 8c V6 features core multi-model, multi-form capabilities, supporting multiple storage modes including row-store, column-store, GIS, time-series, and vector, as well as flexible deployment options such as primary-standby, distributed, and storage-compute separation. It is compatible with multiple syntax modes including Oracle, MySQL, PG, and SQL Server, and has achieved large-scale deployment across finance, telecommunications, and government sectors. During the session, he highlighted core technologies including HTAP integration, AI vector retrieval, and native distributed GIS, along with high-availability architecture and typical industry practices — helping enterprises accelerate IT modernization and digital transformation.
Looking ahead, GBase 8c will continue to deepen its integrated architecture capabilities, making continuous breakthroughs in Serverless, HTAP, and AI workload convergence to deliver more stable and intelligent data infrastructure for customers across more industries.
Kernel Re-architecture
Data Infrastructure for the Large Language Model Era
Ms. Wang Wei, Product Director of GBase 8c at GBASE, delivered a keynote titled 「AI-Native Database: GBase 8c Re-architecting Data Infrastructure for the LLM Era」 .
She pointed out that as large language models evolve, databases are transitioning from passive storage layers to core data infrastructure. Enterprises face three challenges: multi-modal data governance, high-concurrency provisioning for intelligent agents, and security and control over core data. GBase 8c is architected around AI-native and multi-model multi-form integration, embedding relational, vector, document, time-series, and graph computing capabilities within the kernel — enabling a single database to uniformly host heterogeneous data. For native vector storage and fusion retrieval, it incorporates multiple quantization indexes including HNSW, IVF, and PQ, supporting hybrid search combining vector similarity, scalar filtering, and full-text search. On the security front, it provides fully encrypted secure computing, keeping data encrypted throughout transmission, storage, and computation.
Currently, GBase 8c has achieved large-scale deployment across finance, telecommunications, power, government, and other critical industries. Moving forward, GBase 8c will continue to place AI-native at its core and multi-model multi-form as its engine, empowering key industries and building the data infrastructure for the LLM era.
Collaborative Synergy
AI + IT Innovation — Dual Engine Drive
Mr. Zhang Haoyang, Pre-Sales Consultant at Weaver Network Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote titled 「AI + IT Innovation Dual Drive: Weaver's Digital Intelligence Platform Empowering Enterprise Transformation」 .
He noted that while generative AI has gone global, with 88% of enterprises incorporating AI into regular use, most remain trapped in the "impressive demos, unused in daily work" dilemma — adoption does not equal transformation.
Based on 25 years of collaborative management foundation, Weaver has natively developed its digital intelligence brain Xiao e.AI, deploying AI along enterprise value streams to achieve a paradigm shift from "adding AI to legacy processes" to "re-architecting processes with AI." The platform cultivates digital employees through agents, RPA, and intelligent rules engines, building a new human-machine collaborative organizational model that helps enterprises advance from tool upgrades to fundamental operational transformation. The presentation also shared replicable deployment pathways from pilot to scale, offering practical reference for data professionals.
Weaver will continue to collaborate closely with GBASE and other domestic foundational software partners, driven by the dual engine of AI and IT innovation, to help more enterprises achieve digital and intelligent transformation.
From AI-native kernel to intelligent autonomous operations, from Serverless elastic architecture to HTAP unified data foundation, GBase 8c is steadily advancing as a re-architector of data infrastructure for the LLM era. Going forward, GBASE will continue to deepen core database technologies, delivering more reliable products and a more open ecosystem to help organizations across industries build solid digital foundations and achieve intelligent upgrades.
