Focusing on Full Financial Scenarios | GBASE and YssTech Release Six Joint Solutions

2024-04-29

The digital transformation of the financial industry is entering a critical phase where technology empowerment and value-driven innovation have become the main themes. Driven by China's IT Application Innovation (Xinchuang) initiative, building a continuously evolving, secure, and autonomous digital foundation is an essential prerequisite for transforming traditional service and operating models and optimizing the customer experience. As a vital link connecting capital markets with the real economy, financial and asset management institutions are leveraging fintech to spearhead innovations in business and management models, achieving high-quality development across the industry.

To advance the construction of Xinchuang-compliant IT infrastructure in the financial sector, GBASE (General Data Technology) has partnered with YonSu, a well-known financial IT solution provider in China, to jointly launch full-scenario financial Xinchuang solutions. These solutions focus on three key areas—custody, asset management, and innovation—and cover six mission-critical application scenarios: asset custody, valuation and accounting, unified payment, operational risk management and control, risk management and performance evaluation, and operations management.

Previously, GBASE and YonSu entered into a strategic partnership, deepening their collaboration across all financial technology scenarios, including technology R&D, market development, product marketing, and ecosystem collaboration.

Several GBase database products from GBASE have already been thoroughly adapted and optimized for a range of YonSu's core products, including the Asset Custody System, Valuation and Accounting System, Unified Payment Platform, Operational Risk Management and Control Platform, Risk Management and Performance Evaluation System, Information Disclosure System, Regulatory Reporting Platform, and TA Fund Clearing System, to meet the diverse scenarios and demanding security and ease-of-use requirements of the financial sector.

The six jointly launched solutions mark a significant milestone in the expanded cooperation between the two companies. They will effectively assist banks, securities firms, trust companies, and insurance asset management institutions in building a highly available, scalable, stable, and autonomous data foundation and associated business systems, enabling technological innovation and business growth to advance in tandem.

Asset Custody

Joint Solution for Asset Custody System

YonSu's Asset Custody System ACS5.5 adopts a microservices architecture built on YonSu's proprietary distributed technology platform, SOFABOOT. It is divided into independent subsystems based on business functions, each deployed as a standalone microservice, and comes with a full set of development and operations tools.

For the database layer, GBase databases are used: GBase 8s is deployed when rapid migration from Oracle, handling hundreds of terabytes of data, and supporting thousands of concurrent requests are required; GBASE’s next-generation intelligent distributed database, GBase 8c, is utilized for large-scale distributed application scenarios with massive data volumes, demanding workloads, and rigorous requirements for high scalability, high availability, and diverse concurrency resilience.

Asset Management

Joint Solution for Valuation & Accounting System, Unified Payment Platform & Operational Risk Management and Control Platform

The application layer, comprising the Valuation and Accounting System, Unified Payment Platform, and Operational Risk Management and Control Platform (OCP), is built on a microservices architecture using YonSu's proprietary distributed technology platform, FOMP. Each system is divided into independent subsystems with accompanying development and operations tools. The database layer uses GBase databases, offering both centralized and distributed deployment options.

Innovation

Joint Solution for Operations Management Platform

Application Layer: The Operations Foundation Platform abstracts non-financial business functions to support business implementation across different scenarios.

Database Layer: GBase databases provide both centralized and distributed deployment options, catering to diverse financial scenario requirements based on the user’s application architecture.

Deployment Layer: The entire application runs on a PaaS platform, enabling rapid horizontal scaling, runtime service monitoring and management, and centralized console log collection.

Joint Solution for Financial Asset Risk & Performance System

Application Layer: YonSu's Financial Asset Risk Management and Performance Evaluation Software V4.0 is implemented using a B/S architecture. The program framework integrates SpringCloud, MyBatis-Plus, and other technologies. It is divided into subsystems by business function, each independently deployed as a microservice with its own development and operations toolkit.

Database Layer: GBASE’s distributed logical data warehouse, GBase 8a, is used. This is an MPP distributed parallel analytical database cluster based on a Shared Nothing architecture, offering high performance, high availability, and high scalability, providing a cost-effective general-purpose computing platform for managing ultra-large-scale data.

Value of the Joint Solutions

Infrastructure & Technology

Secure

Achieves full-stack localization of servers, operating systems, databases, and core business system applications to ensure financial information security.

High-Performance

Through collaborative innovation, complex scenario processing performance is enhanced, with tested scenarios outperforming traditional solutions.

Stable & Reliable

Application stability has been validated under high concurrency, with zero anomalies during 48 hours of continuous operation and stable resource usage. When certain database or application nodes are abnormally terminated, the system continues to run without interruption and without data loss.

Flexible & Scalable

The most reliable and stable solution is provided according to actual data volume and concurrency, supporting two deployment modes: centralized deployment with low resource consumption and optimized performance; and a distributed application and data architecture, which can rapidly increase system capacity through expansion.

Applications & Experience

Advanced Architecture

Applications, databases, and operating systems work cohesively to fully implement a microservices architecture.

Full-Featured

All functionality from legacy IOE-era systems has been seamlessly ported, enabling migration, transformation, and verification across all scenarios and processes with enhanced throughput and scalability.

User-Friendly

The Risk and Performance System provides a digital dashboard, diverse graphical representations, and multi-dimensional business analysis to help business users quickly understand overall asset risk analysis and performance evaluation. The Operational Risk Management and Control Platform offers a visualized management console, including leadership and business cockpits, enabling business personnel to work more efficiently while enhancing operational risk management capabilities.

Data Accuracy

Foundational data assurance is provided by data middle office tools for data modeling and governance. Combined with deep industry analytical expertise, a rich library of financial indicator algorithms delivers more precise analytical results.

Rapid Iteration

An open technology architecture, comprehensive development tools, and extensive financial sector experience enable the systems to be rapidly iterated and upgraded to meet the evolving business needs of asset management and custody.

GBASE and YonSu have engaged in extensive and in-depth collaboration, jointly providing digital services to numerous benchmark financial clients. The launch of these joint solutions spanning the entire financial sector aims to use IT application innovation as a bridge to open up new scenarios, create new business models, and accelerate the healthy operation and sustainable development of the financial industry.
