Yingda Taihe Independently Developed Data Warehouse Construction Project

Yingda Taihe Life's Fully Domestic Data Warehouse Project

Project Background

In today's digital landscape, Yingda Taihe Life faced a growing volume of high-frequency business demands. To address its data analysis needs, the company built a data warehouse in 2018 based on the GBase 8a MPP database from General Data Technology Co., Ltd. By May 2021, Yingda Taihe Life had procured GBase databases and vendor services to maintain and manage its database clusters.

Solution

The company’s "Data Home" platform leverages diverse self-service analytics tools from GBase 8a and Smartbi Eagle for business users. These include ad-hoc queries, which enable filtering on any field for detailed large-scale data lists; pivot analysis akin to Excel PivotTables, delivering high performance on massive datasets and supporting scenarios with numerous or flexible dimensions; and self-service dashboards that allow users to build visual data dashboards through simple drag-and-drop, achieving what-you-see-is-what-you-get results.

Results

The data warehouse significantly enhances everyday data analytics efficiency and cultivates a company-wide data culture, realizing the vision of "maximizing data value and empowering talent." As adoption deepens, the platform continuously sharpens data awareness and insights across all levels of the organization, raising the value of data assets and accelerating the execution of a data-driven operations strategy. This provides Yingda Taihe Life with a robust foundation for further growth in the digital economy.
