As Hubei Mobile’s services grow increasingly complex and signaling data volumes surge, the signaling monitoring system must be built on an OLAP‑friendly architecture. This enables online dynamic scaling to handle massive data processing demands and rapidly perform complex analysis on large‑scale data.

3. Solution

The data sharing layer of Hubei Mobile’s signaling monitoring platform uses GBase 8a MPP Cluster to build the storage module, retaining and processing all types of signaling data consolidated by front‑end acquisition gateways. Based on a modern Shared‑Nothing MPP cluster architecture, GBase 8a MPP Cluster performs comprehensive, in‑depth analysis of network signaling and provides functions for statistical data and report ingestion, query, and management. Its online dynamic horizontal scaling mechanism meets the ever‑growing demand for signaling data processing.

The entire network adopts a dual‑network, dual‑plane architecture to ensure high availability and completely eliminate single points of failure. GBase 8a MPP Cluster consists of loader servers and data nodes. Each cluster node acts as both a compute node and a management node, eliminating the need for a dedicated master node. The system currently processes dozens of terabytes of data. Each node has two 10 Gigabit NICs bonded for high availability.
