Value Proposition

Enhance business system continuity: Through unified data management and governance, comply with regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.

Active-active deployment for enhanced business continuity: The primary and standby data platforms work in tandem, each handling separate workloads, with automatic failover in case of failure.

Improve processing efficiency: Offload some workloads to the standby cluster to reduce pressure on the primary cluster, making full use of hardware and software resources and preventing resource underutilization.

Cross-region remote disaster recovery solution implemented: The first MPP cross-region remote disaster recovery system has been successfully deployed and is now live, establishing a comprehensive MPP cross-region remote disaster recovery solution that provides effective support for promoting MPP remote disaster recovery in other industries.

Project Background

Rural Credit Banks Funds Clearing Center Co., Ltd. (RCBFCC) provides fund clearing services—including remittance, bank drafts, and inter-institution personal account deposits and withdrawals—for 30 rural cooperative financial institutions and tens of thousands of outlets nationwide. Its data platform, built on GBase 8a MPP Database and Hadoop big data technology, serves as a data management hub for storage and analytics.

GBase 8a MPP Database primarily handles statistics, analysis, and short- to medium-term storage of structured data, while Hadoop manages statistics and analysis of unstructured data and long-term retention of all data. Rapid business growth and ongoing expansion into new services have steadily increased system workloads, making it urgent to deploy a disaster recovery system that elevates RTO and RPO for business services.
