GBase Supports the 4th National High-Level Forum on Information Security and Indigenous Innovation Strategy

On November 19, the 4th National High-Level Forum on Information Security and Indigenous Innovation Strategy was held at Beijing Wanshou Hotel. The conference was guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and hosted by the China Computer Users Association. GBase participated as a supporting organization in this forum.

 

To further publicize and implement the CPC Central Committee's call to accelerate the “indigenous innovation and independent controllability” information security strategy and the enforcement of the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China, the forum, themed “Indigenous Innovation and Independent Controllability,” invited government agencies, military, research institutions, colleges and universities, military-industrial enterprises and organizations, as well as companies specializing in network IT and information security technologies to analyze, exchange views, and discuss the current situation.

  

 

Lyu Xinkui, Honorary Director of China Computer Users Association and former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Information Industry; Si Gongshan, Inspector of the Cybersecurity Coordination Division, Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC); Zhu Guobang, Director of the Network Security Bureau, Ministry of Public Security; and Wang Lianyin, Director of the China Information Security Evaluation Center, addressed the forum. Wang Yue, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote speech titled "Personal Reflections on In-depth Implementation of the Cybersecurity Law of the People's Republic of China and the Indigenous Innovation Information Security Strategy", and Shen Changxiang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a keynote speech titled "Supporting Indigenous Innovation Strategy with Trusted Computing."

 

Driven by policies on cybersecurity and indigenous innovation, the development of the homegrown IT industry has made substantial progress. A number of outstanding enterprises have emerged, delivering autonomous, controllable and high-performance domestic IT products through independent R&D and continuous innovation.
