GBase Selected Among MIIT Top 50 Big Data Demonstration Cases

Recently, the enterprise symposium for the "Collection of Excellent Big Data Products, Services, and Application Solutions" was held at the Beijing Wanshou Hotel. Deputy Director General Li Guanyu of the MIIT Bureau of Information and Software Services, Director Yin Libo of the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center (the First Electronics Research Institute of MIIT), Vice President Zheng Xuke of the Guiyang Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Producer Xu Wei of CCTV Documentary Channel attended the meeting.

The meeting presented the collection and review of big data cases and announced 50 outstanding big data cases with industry representativeness and demonstration value. The selection was conducted in accordance with the "Notice of the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Organizing the Collection of Excellent Big Data Products, Services, and Application Solutions."

The "Massively Parallel Database GBase 8a" case by GBase (General Data Technology), after three rounds of preliminary, mid-term, and final review by over 40 industry experts, stood out from 451 cases and was selected as one of the 50 outstanding big data cases with industry representativeness and demonstration value.

GBase 8a MPP Cluster is a mature analytical database for the big data era, adopting a federated architecture, supporting clusters of over 300 nodes and managing more than 30PB of data. It is suitable for both PB-level big data and TB-level smaller data scenarios, and can be used for massive data queries, statistical analysis, data warehouse support, ad hoc queries, and more in industries such as telecommunications, finance, government and enterprises, security, and the internet. Currently, it hosts the largest data warehouses in China's four major sectors: banking, telecommunications, government, and military.
