On the morning of May 6, 2021, Liao Guoxun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and Mayor of Tianjin, inspected homegrown IT enterprises, including General Data Technology Co., Ltd., Tiandy Technologies Co., Ltd., and the Tianjin Kunpeng Ecosystem Innovation Center.

General Data Technology Co., Ltd. has been dedicated to the R&D and sales of domestically developed, self-controlled database products. Liao inspected the company's exhibition hall, learning about its R&D investment ratio, business layout, and market share. He encouraged the company to seize the opportunity of the "secure and reliable" substitution drive, enhance product compatibility, strengthen market competitiveness, and build a database product supplier trusted by users.

Tiandy Technologies Co., Ltd., leveraging technologies such as AI, big data, cloud computing, and IoT, provides intelligent video products and system solutions for sectors including public security, judicial authorities, and transportation. Liao visited the company and listened to detailed introductions on its history, core technologies, and market applications. He acknowledged the company's "Starlight" technology for capturing clear images in low-light scenarios. He expressed hope that the company would continue to increase R&D investment, win market share through technology, and deeply integrate into various areas of social governance.

The Tianjin Kunpeng Ecosystem Innovation Center is a Kunpeng computing industry implementation vehicle jointly built by Huawei and the local government alongside relevant departments. Liao learned about the center's active explorations in software ecosystem development, talent cultivation, industry incubation, and standards formulation. He remarked that the enterprise had a clear and accurate assessment of all ends of the industry chain, and he hoped it would leverage its technological strengths to build more scenario-based solutions in manufacturing, ports, and policing, empowering industry and social governance with digital capabilities.

Liao emphasized that the CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and the Tianjin Municipal Government have made the development of the domestic IT application innovation (ITAI) industry a primary focus, striving to attract and cultivate new drivers of growth and create new economic growth points. It is necessary to attract and cluster a group of platform enterprises, accelerate the reinforcement of industry chain weaknesses, solidify the city's digital "foundation," and continuously build a complete industrial ecosystem. Efforts should be made to improve infrastructure and lifestyle service support, expand the layout of education, commerce, entertainment, and dining, and provide policy support in areas such as application migration, app development, and talent cultivation, so that more young people are willing to come and stay. The government should actively provide application scenarios for settling enterprises, give full play to the role of the ITAI industry alliance, and match enterprises with users for in-depth connections, enabling the government's "visible hand" and the market's "invisible hand" to join hands.
