Yuan Mengjia: Application and Practice of GBase Database in IT Application Innovation

In the IT application innovation arena, GBase has long been committed to developing domestically produced databases that are highly secure, high-performing, and highly available. Its analytical database GBase 8a and transactional database GBase 8s, built with proprietary intellectual property, provide products and services to over 10,000 clients across government, finance, telecommunications, and transportation sectors. Cumulative deployments exceed 30,000 nodes, managing over 200PB of data in total.

As the construction of a Digital China and digital economy accelerates in recent years, GBase database continues to innovate. Through rapid iteration, its database performance has been consistently enhanced. In the TPC-DS benchmark, managed by a globally renowned, non-profit data management standards organization, the MPP database GBase 8a V9 achieved an outstanding performance QphDS score of 8,944,478 using just 8 servers. This resulted in the fewest test nodes among all participating vendors, delivering the highest single-core computing power and the optimal data loading performance.

Additionally, other attending experts shared their insights: Hu Haixing, Pre-Sales Director at Beijing Baolande Software Corporation, discussed examining IT application innovation through the lens of middleware; Lin Xuelin, North China Technical Director at Esri China Information Technology Co., Ltd., and Kang Ming, Senior Vice President of Esri, shared how geographic technology drives transformation and innovation; and Chen Huanxun, IT Application Innovation Operations Director at Sangfor Technologies Inc., explored building an autonomous and reliable operational system.
