Never Stop Advancing – GBase Wins the 'Shu Ding Award — 2020-2021 Leading Enterprise in China's Big Data Industry'

On April 29, 2021, the '2021 China Big Data Industry Innovation Conference,' hosted by the Big Data Committee of China Information Industry Association, was held in Beijing. Under the theme 'Data Strengthens Foundations, Collaborative Innovation,' the conference delved into the needs and development of big data while bringing together key forces in the big data ecosystem to foster collaborative innovation and growth. This aims to promote the healthy development of China's big data industry and expand its ecosystem. GBase was invited to attend the conference and, in recognition of its outstanding performance over the years, received the 'Shu Ding Award — 2020-2021 Leading Enterprise in China's Big Data Industry.'
 

Data is a fundamental strategic resource and a critical factor of production for a country. As China embarks on its 14th Five-Year Plan and marches toward the second centennial goal, the enabling role of big data in high-quality economic and social development will become even more prominent, playing a vital driving role in building a Digital China and digital economy.

Amid the digitalization of industries such as finance, telecommunications, government and public sector, energy, and transportation, data—as a new factor of production—has become an essential strategic resource driving digital transformation and upgrading. However, with the rapid growth of data traffic, data management systems face increasing performance demands in data analysis and processing, while customers' requirements for security and future scalability continue to rise.

GBase is an independent database service provider in China focused on database R&D and has achieved large-scale deployment in the finance and telecommunications industries. Its self-developed analytical database GBase 8a is one of the few data management systems that can enter core business systems of key industries, effectively meeting the growing demands for data analysis, data mining, data backup, and ad-hoc queries in data-intensive sectors. To date, it has served more than 200 large enterprises, including the People's Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, and China Mobile, with big data services.

The transactional database GBase 8s is a mature, stable, 100-terabyte-class financial-grade secure domestic data management system. It is suitable for critical core business systems in finance and telecommunications, information systems with high security requirements in sectors such as security, government, public sector, and defense, as well as operational and management information systems of large enterprises. It already provides transaction data management services to over a hundred customers, including 12306 (China Railway), State Grid Corporation of China, and Huaxia Bank.

In the context of China's 'New Infrastructure' initiative, GBase will continue to advance research and accumulation in core database technologies, using the homegrown database, a pillar of national importance, to safeguard the secure development of China's data assets in the digital era.
