GBase Wins "2022 Outstanding Solution for Core Business Systems in the Financial Industry"

Riding the wave of digitalization, we set sail on a new journey. On November 3, the "2022 (5th) Industry Informatization Technology Innovation Development Summit" co-hosted by CCIDNET and "Digital Economy" magazine was held in Beijing. GBase, leveraging its outstanding contributions to financial IT application innovation, the "Core Business System Solution Based on GBase Database" (hereinafter referred to as the Solution) won the "2022 Outstanding Solution for Core Business Systems in the Financial Industry" award. The Solution was also selected for the "Financial IT Application Innovation Ecosystem Laboratory – Financial IT Application Innovation Solutions (First Batch)."

The summit, themed "Track Switching Era: IT Application Innovation Inspires the Future," focused on macro areas such as IT application innovation and the digital economy, and delved into micro industry perspectives like "East-West Data Computing" and the future of work. It brought together over 500 IT professionals, including competent department leaders, academicians of engineering, experts, and executives from leading industry enterprises.

The Core Business System Solution Based on GBase Database has been successfully selected for the Financial IT Application Innovation Ecosystem Laboratory's "Financial IT Application Innovation Solutions (First Batch)." Built on full-stack practices in core business systems, the solution achieves business process standardization, data standardization and centralization, and application componentization and servitization, enhancing comprehensive service capabilities for target customers and providing a reference for improving core business systems and mobile payment ecosystem development.

The financial industry has the highest data management requirements, demanding databases that ensure strong data consistency, stability, high business performance, and high availability. The GBase 8s shared-storage-based database chosen for this solution offers: an advanced database service architecture, high performance with strong data consistency, parallel data querying based on multi-process and multi-threading, comprehensive high availability, shared-storage high-availability clusters, and primary-standby high-availability clusters.

Currently, the solution has been successfully deployed in the core business system of a commercial bank in Southwest China. Using GBase 8s, the core business system's overall performance improved by 3x, and data backup time was reduced from 2 hours to 20 minutes. The primary data center is deployed as a two-node shared-storage cluster, while a remote disaster recovery site is deployed as a remote disaster recovery cluster, fully meeting core system business continuity requirements. The entire solution runs on a domestic IT application innovation hardware platform, significantly reducing overall procurement and O&M costs, meeting financial IT application innovation localization requirements, and ensuring full platform autonomy. It has been running stably for over 1,000 days.
