Industry-Education Integration for IT Innovation | GBase Welcomes Delegation from Tianjin IT Application Innovation Association and Tianjin University
On the afternoon of February 27, Wang Sen, Secretary-General of the Tianjin IT Application Innovation Association (hereinafter "the Association"), and Li Keqiu, Dean of the College of Intelligence and Computing at Tianjin University (representing Tianjin University), led a delegation to visit General Data Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "GBase"). GBase Chairman Ding Mingfeng, accompanied by key staff, extended a warm welcome.
Prior to the meeting, leaders and experts from the Association and Tianjin University toured GBase's exhibition hall, gaining an in-depth understanding of GBase's development history, key cases in critical sectors such as finance and telecommunications, and the technical achievements and honors the company has attained over the years.
At the meeting, Secretary-General Wang Sen first introduced the background and purpose of the visit, and briefly outlined the Association's efforts in promoting industry-education integration for IT application innovation and university-enterprise cooperation. Dean Li Keqiu highlighted the academic programs and talent cultivation at Tianjin University's College of Intelligence and Computing, and expressed a strong interest in deepening cooperation with GBase in areas such as joint talent training for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs, internships, practical training, and graduate employment.
Chairman Ding Mingfeng presented GBase's current development, team size, and R&D capabilities, and put forward cooperation needs in scientific research and talent development at this stage.
As an innovative database company, GBase has always been dedicated to tackling core database technologies through R&D. Given the high technical barriers, long R&D cycles, and stringent engineering requirements of database software, highly skilled database R&D talent is the lifeline for a database company's growth. Over the years, hundreds of graduates from Tianjin University have chosen to join GBase, growing into the backbone of the company's technology R&D and becoming an inexhaustible driving force for the company's development and the database industry at large. Database advancement requires not only real-world scenario refinement but also progress in theoretical research across industry and academia. "Learning from research" is a fine tradition that GBase has always upheld. GBase welcomes and sincerely invites industry organizations and higher-education institutions, represented by the Association and Tianjin University, to join in industry-education-research collaboration, to "strengthen fundamental research and jointly fight the critical battle for core database technologies."
The participants conducted in-depth discussions on the proposed cooperation needs and reached a strong consensus on pursuing deeper exchanges and collaboration in industry-education integration. GBase will continue to leverage its enterprise-side scenario strengths, harness the power of academia and research to deepen core database technologies, advance high-quality industry-education integration in Tianjin, and fuel the thriving development of China's database industry.
