The Founding Ceremony of the Information Security Industry Innovation Alliance Was Successfully Held

On September 9, 2016, the Information Security Industry Innovation Alliance held its founding conference under the leadership of the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission.

Zhang Shijun, Deputy Secretary of the Working Committee of Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area; Nie Weixun, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area; relevant officials from the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission; and heads of enterprises and institutions including Cui Weili, Chairman of General Data Technology, Zhao Wei, Senior Vice President, Dong Ying, Vice President, as well as representatives from Sugon Information, Phytium Information, Tianjin Kylin Information, Tiandy Technologies, Hanbai Technology, Haitian Liangzi, and Xante Networks attended the meeting.

Leading the Way: GBase Elected as Alliance's Rotating Chairman Unit

As one of the founding members of the alliance, GBase was elected as the Rotating Chairman Unit. GBase Chairman Cui Weili addressed the conference on behalf of the chairman unit, explaining the original intention and significance of the alliance, and expressing his hopes for its future. Cui Weili stated: "The alliance must formulate a robust strategy and plan, while continuously welcoming more like-minded enterprises to join. Together, we will pursue grander ambitions, with the goal of establishing an authentic information security alliance based here in Tianjin."

A Heavy Responsibility: Alliance Tasked with Driving Tianjin's IT Industry Growth

The member organizations of the Information Security Industry Innovation Alliance comprise leading enterprises from the IT sectors of Binhai New Area and Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area, representing the highest level of Tianjin's information security industry. Zhang Shijun, Deputy Secretary of the Working Committee of Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area, stated in his speech: "Becoming a benchmark enterprise within the same industry and field is a crucial duty of the alliance. The Information Security Industry Innovation Alliance is the first of its kind in Tianjin, and we expect it to be the best among the many alliances to come in the city."

Nie Weixun, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Tianjin Binhai Hi-Tech Industrial Development Area, placed high hopes on the alliance during the founding conference. He noted that leading enterprises and research institutes within Tianjin's information security industry must collaborate, jointly raise funds, cultivate talent, and strengthen their businesses.

Relevant officials from the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission presented an overview of the Information Security Industry Innovation Alliance at the conference: The Commission officially launched its "511 Project" this year, aiming to build 100 leading enterprise alliances and form 10 innovative industrial clusters exceeding 100 billion yuan within 5 years. Tianjin already possesses a complete information industry chain comprising CPUs, operating systems, servers, databases, middleware, and applications. Establishing an alliance in the information industry domain will spur the development of upstream and downstream enterprises, thereby better propelling the growth of Tianjin's information industry.

Solid Action: Alliance Actively Working to Create a 100-Billion-Level Industry

Focusing on the needs of Tianjin's strategic emerging industries, the information security sector, and technological innovation within tech companies, the alliance will fully leverage market mechanisms to widely aggregate and incubate technology-based SMEs, along with innovation teams from universities and research institutes. This will forge a collaborative model integrating "leading enterprises like Sugon, General Data Technology, Kylin, and Phytium + universities and institutes such as Nankai University and Tianjin University of Technology + application integration enterprises like Tiandy, Hanbai, and Haitian Liangzi," building an influential leading enterprise innovation alliance to create an interactive and efficient ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The alliance's goal is to cultivate a robust domestic information security industry ecosystem, fostering 10-billion-level enterprises and a 100-billion-level industry. It aims to expand its membership to over 100 organizations within 5 years, form an innovative industrial cluster exceeding 100 billion yuan, and advance the construction and development of Tianjin's leading enterprise innovation alliances.
