2016 year5 month13 day, GBASE “Enabling China to Use a World-Class Domestic Database” product launch was held at the Beijing International Convention Center. At the meeting, Academician Ni Guangnan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering delivered a speech, expressing high hopes for the development of domestic databases.

        This year4 month19 day, President Xi at the cybersecurity and informatization symposium emphasized: cybersecurity and informatization are complementary; security is the prerequisite for development, development is the guarantee of security, network security and informatization must advance in tandem. I believe this is a very important instruction, today in our information field, no matter doing any informatization work both must consider network security, also network security we also consider informatization requirements, put these two things we must always consider them together.

        What GBASE does is just basic software, database software. This work is very important, for network security is very important . Today we talk about big data, cloud computing, etc. etc., all data, large amounts of, it should be said that the main is database software to store and process. Therefore whether database software can we achieve autonomous and controllable, safe and controllable, for the whole country''s security has great significance. It should be said that, like GBASE , our domestic some database software companies, now do should be said to have developed relatively well. We now in many important areas can apply, so now it is not that we don''t have our own autonomous and controllable database software, but mainly to improve it, we know President Xi''s speech also emphasiz') || dbms_lob_new_clob('ed like these core technologies we must use our own mastered autonomous and controllable , and we must also use, for through use we can develop, can do well.
