About Chairman Ding Mingfeng

Ding Mingfeng, Chairman of GBase and Chairman of Hecapital. Graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology, he held the position of Senior Vice President at ZTE Corporation, overseeing R&D management, overseas marketing, and investment. In 1994, he joined Shenzhen ZTE New Communication Equipment Co., Ltd.

From 1995 to 1997, he served as Deputy Director of the Nanjing Research Institute of ZTE New Communication Equipment Co., Ltd.

From 1999 to 2008, he served as Senior Vice President of ZTE Corporation. He was responsible for the company's fixed-line networks, mobile networks, overseas marketing, and overall strategic planning. He led the development of major R&D projects, including program-controlled switches, routers, softswitches, intelligent services, and 3G base stations. As a pioneer in overseas business, he led his team to grow revenue from USD 40 million to USD 1 billion in three years, laying a solid foundation for ZTE's subsequent global expansion.

From 2008 to 2016, he served as General Manager of Shenzhen ZTE New Communication Equipment Co., Ltd. Ding Mingfeng spearheaded the investment and establishment of several companies, including Shanghai ZTE Pylontech Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen ZTE Microcredit Co., Ltd., ZTE Hechuang Investment Management Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen ZTE Innovative Material Technology Co., Ltd.

In 2017, he became Chairman of Hecapital Management Co., Ltd. Under his leadership, Hecapital focused on early-stage venture capital in ICT and medical devices, seeking cutting-edge technologies globally—primarily in China, North America, and Israel—and prioritizing investments in technology-driven innovative companies.

Since 2019, Ding Mingfeng has served as Chairman of GBase. He has led the team in the independent R&D and promotion of China-developed databases, delivering end-to-end China-developed database products and services. Under his leadership, the independently developed GBase series databases have provided products and services to over 10,000 users in sectors including finance, telecommunications, government, energy, transportation, national defense, and enterprises, with more than 30,000 deployment nodes and over 300 PB of managed data.
