GBase UP Passes First Batch of National Big Data Standard Compliance Tests
On March 18, the 2017 Big Data Standardization Forum, hosted by the China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI) and the Big Data Standards Working Group of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee, was held in Beijing. Attendees included Academician Mei Hong of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lin Ning, Party Secretary of CESI, Gao Lin, Deputy Director of the Information Technology and Software Services Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Liu Dashan, Division Chief of Industrial Standards Department II of the Standardization Administration of China (SAC), and other leaders and experts.
At the forum, Academician Mei Hong announced the big data system test results and released the list of products that passed the first batch of national big data standard compliance tests, with GBase UP among them.

Since May 2016, with the efforts of CESI and the Big Data Standards Working Group of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee, pilot demonstrations of the “General Specification for Big Data Systems in Information Technology” standard have been actively carried out in various regions.
The product forms tested cover various mainstream big data systems: systems based on Hadoop/Spark; systems composed of Hadoop/Spark and MPP; and self-developed platforms provided by encapsulating underlying interfaces.
GBASE is one of the first big data product providers to pass the national big data standard compliance. In the test, GBase UP, the unified data platform with converged architecture, met all basic and extended requirements, fully satisfying the national big data system standard.

The test results show that the “MPP + Hadoop” converged architecture of GBase UP sets a benchmark for solving big data challenges and represents a major innovation in the big data era.
