At the turn of the year, GBASE received certificates of recognition and thank-you letters from customers and partners including Shenzhen Metro, Gaoxin Modern Intelligent System Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Das Intellitech Co., Ltd. As trusted allies, GBASE joined forces with Gaoxin Modern and Das Intellitech on multiple Shenzhen Metro projects across CLC, ACC, and AFC systems, facilitating the smooth launch of new lines and delivering safer and more convenient travel experiences for Shenzhen Metro passengers.

China’s rail transit industry started relatively late. Early metro construction relied largely on imported technologies, and core databases were monopolized by foreign commercial databases, which commanded over 90% of the market. Metro operations concern national economy and people’s livelihood, carrying the daily commuting hopes of citizens, where even the slightest error is unacceptable.

GBASE pioneered entry into the metro sector as early as 2016, becoming the first domestic database vendor serving metro lines. Its shared-storage database cluster, GBase 8s, dispelled doubts with proven performance in multiple AFC (Automatic Fare Collection) systems, matching foreign databases in functionality and performance while running stably. By the end of 2022, GBASE databases have served the IT infrastructure of over 20 cities, including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Xi’an, Zhengzhou, Kunming, Changsha, and Lanzhou, covering dozens of rail transit lines.
