GBase 8a and Suma Achieve Mutual Compatibility Certification

Published on 2021-05-12

Recently, GBase 8a MPP Cluster, an analytical cluster database from GBase, completed compatibility adaptation with Suma’s H-series servers. After joint testing by GBase and Suma, the GBase 8a cluster is fully compatible with H620, H320, H610, H520, and H210 servers, and can be installed, configured, and run stably.

GBase 8a MPP is a Chinese distributed analytical database from GBase for business analytics and business intelligence. It is the first distributed relational database cluster in China to support converged data processing. GBase 8a MPP Cluster delivers core advantages including federated architecture, massive data distribution, efficient compression, efficient storage structure, intelligent indexing, flexible data distribution, online high-performance scaling, high concurrency, high availability, high security, easy maintenance, and efficient data loading.

Suma’s H-series servers are high-performance rack-mounted enterprise servers built on Hygon processors. They are ideal for accelerating cloud computing, large-scale cluster deployment, software-defined storage, and big data analytics, easily handling low-latency and data-intensive workloads.

In this compatibility certification, the GBase 8a MPP cluster was deployed on H620, H320, H610, H520, and H210 servers powered by Hygon processors. Results show that combining GBase 8a MPP’s multi-instance deployment with the multi-NUMA multi-core advantages of Hygon processors fully unleashes server performance, delivering approximately 2x the performance of traditional deployment methods.
