Here’s Your December GBase Database Compatibility List
"You can't find new lands with an old map." No component of foundational software can operate in isolation from the technical standards of other elements. Therefore, strengthening the product ecosystem is central to any technology vendor's strategic layout and a critical safeguard for advancing China's IT Application Innovation (Xinchuang) initiative. In December 2021, three products from the GBase database series completed compatibility certification with 34 products from 18 upstream and downstream partners. The certified products span cloud platforms, operating systems, GIS systems, office software, industry applications, and general-purpose software. Test results demonstrate full compliance with compatibility requirements, with normal product functionality and efficient, stable operation—fully validating GBase’s robust and reliable compatibility capabilities.
GBase 8a is an independently developed distributed parallel database cluster based on a Shared Nothing architecture. It features high performance, high availability, and high scalability, delivering a cost-effective, general-purpose computing platform for ultra-large-scale data management. It is widely used to support various data warehouse systems, BI systems, and decision support systems, with large-scale deployments in industries with massive operational data, such as finance, telecommunications, and energy. It stands out in the business analytics and business intelligence market.
In December, GBase 8a completed compatibility certification with 8 products from 4 companies, including Huawei, Canway, Shanghai Shangxun, the OpenAnolis community, and Datablau.
GBase 8s is a self-developed, proprietary shared-storage database cluster independently built by General Data Technology. It meets the security database Level 4 standard (equivalent to EAL4), supports China's national cryptographic algorithms, and aligns with international database standards and development interfaces such as SQL92/99, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, GCI (OCI/OCCI), and Python. It supports distributed deployment, centralized deployment, shared-storage high-availability deployment, and geo-redundant high-availability deployment spanning three centers in two locations. Featuring high capacity, high concurrency, and high performance, it provides a cost-effective, general-purpose computing platform for ultra-large-scale data management. It is suitable for OLTP application scenarios, including critical core business systems in finance and telecommunications, as well as information systems in sectors with stringent security requirements, such as national security, government, and defense.
This month, GBase 8s passed compatibility certification with 23 products from 11 partners, including Weaver, Canway, Dianju, Guangdian Anchen, Zhongdi Digital, Jilin University Zhengyuan Information Technologies, Weishi, Sunyard, Zhongdi Cloud, Xijun Data, and Tuoertong.
GBase 8c is a distributed transactional database built on a Shared Nothing architecture. It features high performance, high availability, low cost, fine-grained resource scheduling, and intelligent cluster O&M, providing secure, stable, and reliable data storage and management services for core financial systems, internet business systems, and government and enterprise systems. It was also the only product to achieve a perfect score in the CAICT Big Data Product Capability Assessment for Distributed Transactional Database Fundamental Capabilities.
GBase 8c V5 has successively completed certification with three products: HUAWEI CLOUD Kunpeng Cloud Service, HUAWEI CLOUD Stack 8.0 (Kunpeng), and SuperMap GIS 10i from Beijing SuperMap Software Co., Ltd.
The successful completion of this compatibility certification round further expands the ecological partnership map of GBase databases. General Data Technology will continue to uphold its ecosystem cooperation philosophy of "openness and shared win-win, co-building and sharing, symbiosis and shared prosperity."
