GBASE’s China-developed database successfully adopted by a city commercial bank in Guangdong Province

Recently, GBASE General Data Technology’s database was successfully applied in the “New Regulatory Statistical Data Submission System” project of a city commercial bank in Guangdong Province. The project adopts a full-stack domestically-developed ecosystem, selecting GBASE’s distributed logical data warehouse GBase 8a as the database cornerstone, meeting the bank’s regulatory reporting and other requirements while helping the bank achieve this important milestone in IT Application Innovation and domestic technology adoption.

Project Background

Financial institutions face diverse and complex regulatory data categories, increasingly granular reporting granularity, and tight submission deadlines. The growing sophistication of business operations places higher demands on the underlying domestic database. Actively implementing new development concepts and serving the new development paradigm, the bank accelerates its transformation towards IT Application Innovation and domestic technology adoption, enhances its ability to serve the real economy, and launches the construction of a new regulatory statistical data submission system to meet its evolving business development strategy. For database selection in this project, GBASE’s distributed logical data warehouse GBase 8a serves as the database foundation.

Full-Stack Domestically-Developed Solution

During project implementation, the project team fully considered domestic compatibility requirements in technology selection, assisting the bank in completing this important practice of IT Application Innovation and domestic replacement. As the technical cornerstone supporting future business development, this project injects new vitality into the bank’s domestic ecosystem. The software system uses Yinfeng Xinrong’s New Regulatory Statistics Data Submission Platform, the database uses GBase 8a, the middleware uses TongWeb 7.0, and the operating system uses Kylin OS, with support for AIX, HP-UX, Linux, Windows, and other similar domestically-developed products. At the same time, the solution can cover multiple business environments such as public cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud, physical machines, and virtual machines. The regulatory system adopts an intelligent and user-friendly design philosophy, delivering a compliant, secure, and efficient regulatory reporting platform for management and business personnel.

Extreme Performance

  • GBase 8a achieved a QphDS score of 8,944,478 in the authoritative TPC-DS benchmark, using the fewest test nodes, ranking first in average per-core performance, and delivering optimal loading performance;
  • It passed the foundational capability assessment of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) with full marks on a 4,096-node cluster.
