At the closing ceremony of the China International Financial Exhibition 2024, the results of the 'Golden Tripod Award' selection were officially announced. Following its wins in 2020 and 2023, GBase once again won the 2024 'Golden Tripod Award' – Outstanding FinTech-Enabled Business Innovation Case Award – for its 'Big Data All-Scenario Cloud Data Warehouse Empowering Financial Security Foundation Project.'

As one of the key events of the China International Financial Exhibition, the 'Golden Tripod Award' is highly prestigious and influential in the financial industry. It recognizes outstanding financial technologies, products, solutions, and services, thereby stimulating innovation and development vitality in the sector. The 2024 'Golden Tripod Award' selection implements the guiding principles of the Central Financial Work Conference and follows the requirements of the 'FinTech Development Plan (2022–2025)', aiming to continuously deepen digital transformation in the financial industry by honoring outstanding contributors and promoting industry innovation and development.

GBase's 'Big Data All-Scenario Cloud Data Warehouse'
Won the Golden Tripod Award 'Outstanding FinTech-Enabled Business Innovation Case Award'

The award-winning 'Big Data All-Scenario Cloud-Native Data Warehouse' was developed and launched by GBase. Aiming to align with the industry trend of database cloud migration, it promotes the cloud-nativeness of GBase’s analytical databases, enabling the overall product architecture to evolve towards storage-compute separation, stateless compute engines, and cloud-based deployment.

The project conducted in-depth research on cloud computing applications in financial big data. By integrating real-world financial big data scenarios, it carried out innovative practices on the prototype cloud data warehouse system regarding functional adaptability, performance feasibility, stability and robustness, security and reliability, and operational ease-of-use in terms of elastic resource management and multi-tenant isolation, and subsequently transformed these technical achievements into practical applications.

Outcomes and Value

SaaS Services: Convenient, Speedy, and Flexible
GBase Cloud Data Warehouse supports both public and private cloud deployment. On public clouds, it offers out-of-the-box SaaS services—no hardware purchase or on-premises deployment required. It provides 24/7 cloud services with automatic fault recovery and version upgrades, resulting in low O&M costs. For private cloud deployments, it enables online patching and upgrades without service interruption, simpler deployment, and unified management.

Ultimate Elasticity
With a storage-compute separation architecture, storage and compute resources can be independently scaled. Compute resources are stateless, allowing on-demand elastic scaling. Elastic adjustments require no data redistribution and can be completed instantly.

Multi-Tenancy
Compute resources are isolated for multi-tenancy, dynamically scaling based on tenant workloads. Each tenant’s compute instances are fully isolated.

Integrated Data Analytics and Data Service Capabilities
It provides core data warehouse functionalities while enabling financial institutions to achieve full data sharing and cross-institutional analysis. In the future, it will evolve into a DataCloud to realize data services and data value enhancement.

Currently, GBase Cloud-Native Data Warehouse is being trialed by a major state-owned bank in China, helping it embark on its cloud transformation journey. Going forward, GBase will continue to provide independent, controllable, secure, and stable database products for users across various industries, strengthening digital and intelligent foundations, enabling enterprises to achieve business and management innovation, and driving high-quality digital and intelligent transformation across sectors.
