Wu Gang pointed out that from the perspective of the global economic landscape, Global South countries have large populations, vast territories, and abundant resources. In the process of global multipolar development, they are gradually becoming a significant force influencing the international economic order. Financial cooperation not only helps Global South countries enhance their economic autonomy, reduce reliance on developed countries, and better manage financial risks, but also injects new momentum into global economic stability and sustainable development.
Wu Gang said that the Global South has huge potential in financial cooperation. In terms of payment systems, promoting payments in Renminbi and other currencies and digital currencies can make settlements more diverse, convenient, and autonomous. In infrastructure construction, Global South countries can collaborate to build new and upgrade existing digital financial infrastructure, complement each other’s strengths, and meet the needs of inclusive finance and financial security. Moreover, drawing on China's Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to attract private capital into infrastructure development in Global South countries can provide a significant boost to local development.
Driven by the synergy of technological and institutional innovation, the globalization of digital finance has become a trend. From a technical perspective, the development of artificial intelligence and other new technologies is reshaping the underlying logic of financial infrastructure. Wu Gang noted that China's industrial manufacturing capabilities and digital economy infrastructure are already at the forefront globally, and China has also accumulated rich experience in digital transformation and application promotion in underdeveloped regions.
GBase's series of databases have excelled in promoting the digital and green transformation of financial services. Wu Gang introduced that as an independent database provider focused on R&D and large-scale application in China, GBase has established a full-stack data product portfolio and service solutions. Its analytical, transactional, and distributed transactional products, developed for different scenarios, have served tens of thousands of users across more than 100 industries, covering 33 provincial-level administrative regions in China and exported to over 50 countries and regions worldwide.
Looking ahead to the prospects of global digital finance, Wu Gang is confident. He said that in the future, GBase will keep pace with digital technology trends, continuously develop and upgrade its database products, deeply integrate high-quality products with the diverse needs of financial industry users, and consistently deliver complete and satisfactory products and services to financial users both at home and abroad. As cooperation mechanisms between China and Global South countries deepen and enhance, the demand for digital construction and transformation in these countries will be fully explored and met. GBase database will provide a solid digital foundation supporting the IT infrastructure of users across industries in this process.
