Published on 2025-05-15

On May 14, 2025, the China Nuclear Engineering 2025 Digital Ecosystem Conference, themed “Digital Intelligence Empowers a New Ecosystem, Transformation for a Shared Future,” was successfully held in Xiong’an New Area. GBase (General Data Technology) was invited to attend, showcasing a series of solutions and sharing innovative application results of GBase’s high-availability architecture driving digital and intelligent transformation in nuclear energy and other critical sectors.

The conference was guided by the Chinese Nuclear Society, hosted by China Nuclear Engineering & Construction Corporation Limited, and organized by Beijing China Nuclear Huihui Technology Development Co., Ltd. Over 150 AI and computing power industry chain ecosystem partners, along with nearly 300 industry experts and representatives from government and enterprises, attended the event. Focusing on the strategic positioning of Xiong’an New Area and the digital empowerment of nuclear power engineering, they unveiled cutting-edge technological achievements and launched multiple strategic cooperation agreements, driving the iterative upgrade of the nuclear industry’s digital ecosystem.

Currently, the digital economy is reshaping the global industrial landscape. As a national strategic scientific and technological force, the nuclear industry faces challenges in system stability, data security, and real-time analysis during digital transformation. Promoting independent and controllable construction and ensuring stable operation of business systems have become the key to accelerating the digital transformation of the nuclear industry.

GBase High-Availability Architecture Drives Nuclear Industry Digital and Intelligent Upgrade

At the conference, Guo Zhuo, Director of the GBase 8s Product Department at GBase, delivered a keynote speech titled “GBase 8s High-Availability Architecture Drives Digital Transformation”, introducing the innovative practices of GBase’s leading high-availability architecture providing stable support for the digital construction of users in nuclear energy and other critical sectors.

GBase 8s, an independently developed, mature and stable shared-storage database cluster by GBase, was among the first to pass the security and reliability assessment of the China Information Security Evaluation Center. It holds 3C certification, possesses the Security Assurance Level (EAL4+) certification, Level 4 Classified Protection of the Ministry of Public Security, and certification from the National Secrecy Bureau, covering all major qualifications for information security products. It supports centralized deployment, shared-storage high-availability deployment, and two-site three-center high-availability deployment, delivering high capacity, high concurrency, and high performance. It provides 24/7 stable service support for critical business operations.

At the high-availability architecture level, GBase 8s has built a comprehensive cluster system to ensure high-availability services for business systems, offering industry-leading high-availability cluster technologies, including Shared Storage Cluster (SSC), High-Availability Cluster (HAC), Remote High-Availability Cluster (RHAC), and Enterprise Replication (ER) based on table replication. It features automatic sub-second failover, achieving 99.999% database availability.

Beyond the robust high-availability system, GBase 8s provides a comprehensive suite of database ecosystem tools covering database development, data synchronization, data migration, and full lifecycle graphical management. This optimizes the experience for developers and database administrators, improving their efficiency in managing and operating databases.

Moreover, for consumer electronics, mobile computing, and various IoT application scenarios, GBase 8s offers a lightweight embedded version that consumes minimal system resources while retaining core database functions and key features. With support for intelligent one-click deployment, it provides a lightweight, easily scalable database solution for specialized devices in critical sectors.

At the exhibition, GBase (General Data Technology) showcased its IT Application Innovation (Xinchuang) solutions for the nuclear industry as well as GBase’s application cases in critical sectors such as nuclear energy and security. The stable, mature, and integrated solutions and extensive industry service experience received unanimous praise from attending guests.

Looking ahead, as the digital and intelligent transformation of the nuclear industry deepens, GBase will continue to leverage its technological strengths, continuously innovate and enhance its product portfolio and service quality. With high-availability architecture as the cornerstone, it will provide a solid foundation for technological and management innovation in the nuclear energy industry. Together with China Nuclear Huihui, it will explore new models and new paths for the digital transformation of the nuclear industry, contributing wisdom and strength to the high-quality and sustainable development of China’s nuclear industry.
