Integrating Research and Learning, Feeding Education through Practice | GBase Shines at the 42nd CCF China Database Academic Conference

Published on 2025-08-05

From August 1 to 3, the 42nd CCF China Database Academic Conference (NDBC 2025), hosted by the China Computer Federation (CCF) and organized by the CCF Technical Committee on Database and Jilin University, was successfully held in Changchun. As a long-term platinum partner of the CCF Technical Committee on Database and a leading domestic database company, GBase was invited to participate, engaging in in-depth discussions with many experts, scholars, and corporate representatives on cutting-edge database technologies, innovative applications, and industry trends. The company also systematically shared practical achievements of the GBase database under the 'integrating research and learning' model, as well as the technical expertise and benchmark cases accumulated while serving key industry sectors.

Integrating Research and Learning: A Steadier, Longer Journey toward Independent and Controllable Core Technologies

At the Enterprise Night event held on the evening of August 1, Zhao Wei of GBase took the stage. Zhao Wei stated: "GBase has partnered with several renowned Chinese universities and research institutes to build a collaborative development model of 'industry, academia, research, and application.' Through joint laboratory construction, collaborative core technology R&D, and joint talent cultivation, we deeply link cutting-edge research breakthroughs with the real needs of industrial practice. By balancing industry and research collaboration with over ten universities including Nankai University, Tianjin University, and Harbin Institute of Technology, GBase has produced abundant research results that have been widely implemented in practice, translating into the performance advantages and secure, stable enterprise-grade features of the GBase database. This virtuous cycle of 'research that truly serves application' not only accelerates the industrialization of technological achievements but also enables domestic databases to advance more steadily and farther on the path to independent and controllable core technologies."

"Feeding Education with Practice": Domestic Databases Illuminate Educational Informatization

The vigorous growth of the education sector is key to sustaining the innovative vitality of database theory research. In response to the characteristics and needs of the education industry, GBase has launched a series of customized database solutions that 'give back to learning,' which have been successfully applied in multiple educational scenarios. Currently, smart campus systems, IT application innovation talent training labs, and educational information management cloud platforms powered by the GBase database have been deployed at over ten higher education institutions such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Hebei University of Technology, and Tiangong University. Leveraging mature and stable database products, these solutions provide convenient and easy-to-use digital solutions for teaching, research, and administration, helping universities build a more secure, intelligent, and efficient educational informatization system.

During the event, database scholars from various universities gathered at the GBase booth for engaging discussions: exploring how to leverage the GBase database to validate theoretical models and break through research bottlenecks; sharing insights on integrating enterprise application cases into classroom teaching so that students get exposed to industry frontiers earlier; and some scholars, in the context of their research projects, inquired in detail about the enterprise-grade features of the GBase database, seeking entry points for industry-academia-research collaboration.

The hosting of NDBC 2025 provided a platform for research and learning exchanges in the database industry, promoting the transformation of more academic achievements into industrial value. In the future, GBase will continue to deepen industry-academia-research cooperation, focus on breakthroughs in core technologies and innovation in scenario-based applications, and jointly build an independent and controllable database ecosystem, empowering the digital transformation of diverse industries with better products and services.
