[GBASE Training] GBase 8s Database September Telecom Training Session Now Open for Registration!
In 2020, China Mobile Information Technology Co., Ltd. initiated a joint innovation project for self-developed OLTP databases. General Data Technology’s GBase 8s passed rigorous testing and secured 50% of the primary-standby cluster share. To better promote GBase domestic databases among telecom users and partners, and to enhance their operational management and development capabilities, we are organizing the “GBase 8s September Telecom Training Session” in September. This is a full free certification training; participants who pass the exam will receive a free electronic certificate of domestic database certification. Instructors will provide real-time Q&A in the study group. The course starts on September 5. Telecom industry users and partners are welcome to sign up!!
Product Introduction
GBase 8s is a mature and stable shared-storage database cluster independently developed by General Data Technology, with full intellectual property rights. It meets the Level 4 security database standard (equivalent to international B2), supports China’s national cryptographic algorithms, and supports international database standards and development interfaces such as SQL92/99, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, GCI (OCI/OCCI), and Python. It supports centralized deployment, shared-storage high availability (HA) deployment, and multi-site HA deployment (two locations with three centers), delivering high capacity, high concurrency, and high performance. It provides a cost-effective general-purpose computing platform for managing ultra-large-scale data.
GBase 8s is suitable for OLTP applications, including core business systems in finance and telecom, as well as information systems in government and public sectors and national defense with high security requirements. It delivers 7×24 uninterrupted operation.
Course Introduction
This course starts from the basics of GBase 8s, covering its principles, installation and deployment, management and maintenance, and basic SQL development. Through the course, participants will be able to quickly deploy GBase 8s shared-storage database clusters in a Linux environment and master basic operations such as installation, management, data import/export, and backup.
Training Schedule
The entire course is divided into two phases: learning and exam. The learning phase lasts 14 days (including one mock exam), and participants have two chances for the certification exam. The course is delivered via an online learning platform with daily study reminders, training materials in HTML format, and professional instructor Q&A. Through a scientifically structured plan, you will progress step by step and easily grasp the basics of domestic databases.

What Past Participants Say
Project Manager, Shandong Mobile System: The GBase 8s training is a feast of knowledge. The course schedule is rich, reasonable, and compact; the learning camp atmosphere is harmonious and active; the video blog materials are practical and easy to understand. New video lessons are unlocked daily, with appropriate duration, and there are convenient table-of-contents links in the WeChat group. You can learn using fragmented time. The course covers fundamental principles to practical operations, and the instructors explain clearly and thoroughly. Moreover, in the training camp WeChat group, General Data Technology teachers and students are enthusiastic and promptly answer every question. Additionally, Teacher Ji Hui's blog content is closely aligned with real practice. Working through it from start to finish is definitely a great way to get started.
IT Product Manager, Jiangsu Mobile: The instructor's delivery was like a sumptuous feast, beautifully presented in the training class. Truly, “A session with you is better than ten years of reading.” The instructor shared experiences without reservation, explaining complex topics in simple terms—truly brilliant.
A Development Engineer from a Bank Software Center: This course lasted 14 days. As beginners, we learned the principles, installation, management, and basic SQL development of the 8s database through online courses. These courses enabled us to master basic GBase 8s operations such as installation, management, data import/export, and backup. The instructor also gave practical demonstrations with very detailed explanations. I found the course very practical and valuable. In addition, the instructor provided the courseware in HTML, allowing us to review the material at any time even after class. Overall, I benefited immensely and hope to continue learning more about GBase.
Data Architect, Jiangsu Servyou: This training was organized as an online camp, very convenient. Not only was it free, but they also provided a cloud environment for hands-on practice. The most amazing part was the instructors' meticulous explanations, truly getting to the core. They answered our questions in the group patiently and promptly. Thanks to the instructors and to fellow learners for sharing their experiences.
Teacher from a Vocational College of Information: Coming from academia, I used to work only with foreign databases and always felt something was missing. Through this training, I discovered that domestic databases are just as good and align better with Chinese usage habits—well worth promoting. We could introduce a domestic database course at our school to nurture and influence a batch of students, gradually advancing the use of domestic databases for wider adoption.
Architect from a Hubei Archive Technology Company: The free GBase training opportunity gave me a whole new understanding of General Data Technology products. The training had a lot of content; I spent a few days focused on it. The video content was very useful, and I applied most of it in testing. The SQL compatibility was also excellent—most of it works with common databases, except for a few specific syntaxes. I even tried migrating an existing project to GBase, and it was quite simple. One thing worth noting is that the training is free, while similar training from other vendors can cost thousands. I find this very conscientious; it shows that General Data Technology is building its ecosystem rather than chasing money. I believe a company with such integrity will produce excellent products.
