[GBASE Event] Reborn from the Ashes, Setting Sail Anew — GBase Hosts Partner Conference

On June 26, 2019, GBase held its 2019 Partner Conference themed “Reborn from the Ashes, Setting Sail Anew” at the Millennium Hotel in Beijing. Over 100 organizations attended, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Information Center, the General Administration of Customs, State Grid, the Agricultural Bank of China, TravelSky, Huawei, Digital China, Rongzhilian, H3C, and Weiwang Technology, representing government authorities, customers, and partners. Attendees gained an up-to-date understanding of GBase’s current status, growth strategy, new products, technology roadmap, and solutions. GBase users and partners actively participated in the conference, and key customers from sectors such as customs, social security, finance, energy, and transportation took the stage to share success stories, business value, and hands-on experience from their collaboration with the company.

During the conference, leaders from the MIIT, Academician Gao Wen, and Academician Shen Changxiang delivered remarks, encouraging GBase to further contribute to China’s foundational software industry. Chairman Ding Mingfeng and his management team expressed gratitude to the leaders, experts, customers, and partners who have supported GBase and the domestic database sector. They outlined a future strategy centered on building a homegrown foundational software ecosystem with partners at the core, conveyed a strong commitment to working hand-in-hand for mutual success, and stressed the determination to deliver industry-leading domestic database products and comprehensive data service solutions to users in China. They also delved into how to achieve this goal in the current domestic and international landscape.

Management Team

Several heavyweight users and partners of GBase products—including the General Administration of Customs, the Agricultural Bank of China, State Grid, TravelSky, and Weiwang Technology—shared successful experiences from working with GBase and other domestic vendors. They demonstrated that domestic foundational hardware and software products are now capable of supporting core business systems and complex application scenarios in high-end industries, setting a strong example for building and collaborating within a homegrown ecosystem.

GBase’s two major product divisions—Data Intelligence Product Division and Data Management Product Division—unveiled four significant new products:

GBase 8a MPP Cluster V9, supporting large-scale cluster deployment and heterogeneous data fusion, with enhanced active-active clustering, in-database AI, and data security capabilities.

GBase 8s MPP Cluster, an enterprise-grade transactional relational database cluster built with federated architecture and elastic computing technologies.

A trusted transaction-oriented secure database employing both conventional and trusted dual-system architectures, providing users with a comprehensively trusted data computing environment.

GBase XDM Cluster, an ultra-fast in-memory directory database cluster featuring clustering, in-memory computing, high availability, read-write separation, and load balancing.

The Data Engineering and Service Product Division presented GBase’s big data governance and engineering service offerings. By empowering digital operations with data engineering, GBase helps enterprises with big data solution consulting, big data quality management, big data lifecycle management, and a full range of data engineering services covering data collection, data integration, data warehouse construction, data analysis, data services, data visualization—spanning the entire data workflow—as well as cloud services such as cloud concierge support.

Wrapping up the product announcements, GBase also detailed its cloudification strategy. All of the company’s product lines are now compatible with mainstream cloud providers and highly interoperable across the industry chain and with applications, enabling rapid cloud deployment. GBase also unveiled six solution packages for partners and users: migrating GBase products to the cloud, migrating existing IT systems to the cloud, launching new data engineering applications in the cloud, cloud-based big data governance, cloud SaaS services, and cloud operations. This robust arsenal reaffirmed GBase’s firm commitment to its cloud-oriented development path.

The conference continued to impress with a high-impact panel discussion on “How Foundational Software Can Serve National Strategies in the New Era.” Moderated by Liu Jiuru, President of Publishing House of Electronics Industry, with panelists including Wang Donghui, Chairman of Rongzhilian, Wang Wei, General Manager of Digital China Cloud Software Business Unit, and Yu Changpu, General Manager of GBase, the discussion offered valuable insights. The panel shared perspectives on the current state of China’s foundational software industry, debated the direction of the broader domestic and international environment, and interpreted the national strategy for promoting indigenous and controllable technology. They also offered practical advice on ecosystem collaboration, outlining a path for foundational software vendors to serve national strategic goals.

The conference concluded perfectly with the “Reborn from the Ashes, Setting Sail Anew” ceremony. Although the event came to an end, the journey toward win-win collaboration has just begun.
