Registration is now open for the August 2025 GBase 8s Certification Training!
The GBASE Training Center will host the August 2025 GBase 8s Database Certification Training on August 8. This session is designed to help you quickly master the secure database management system GBase 8s. Chinese database enthusiasts are welcome to register!
Product Overview
GBase 8s is a database product with fully independent intellectual property rights from GBASE. It is a B2-class (international EAL4) secure database that supports national cryptographic algorithms. It features mainstream development interfaces such as SQL99/2003, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, GCI (OCI/OCCI), and Python. With broad SQL compatibility with Oracle syntax, it maximizes the reuse of developers' existing database expertise. Backed by a comprehensive Chinese ecosystem, GBase 8s deeply integrates with Chinese operating systems, middleware, and CPU chips. It supports shared-storage clusters and two-site three-center high-availability deployments.
GBase 8s is built for OLTP application scenarios, including mission-critical core business systems in finance and telecom, as well as information systems in government, defense, and other sectors that demand high information security. It delivers 24x7 non-stop processing capabilities.
Course Introduction
This course starts from the ground up, covering GBase 8s database fundamentals, installation and deployment, administration and maintenance, and essential SQL syntax. Learning objectives include: rapidly deploying a standalone GBase 8s instance on Linux, mastering basic operations such as database management, data import/export, backup and recovery, and gaining an understanding of stored procedure coding.
Training Plan
The program is divided into two phases: learning and certification exam. It includes 13 days of learning (with mock exams) and two certification exam attempts. Through daily study reminders in the group, downloadable training materials, and expert technical Q&A, participants will gradually and easily build essential GBase 8s operational skills.

What Past Participants Say
Shandong Mobile System Project Manager: The GBase 8s training was a true feast of knowledge. The curriculum was well-structured and compact, the learning atmosphere in the bootcamp was collaborative and lively, and the video and blog materials were practical and easy to digest. New videos were unlocked daily with convenient duration, and WeChat group links made navigation effortless. I could learn during my spare moments. The instructors explained everything clearly and thoroughly, from fundamental principles to hands-on operations. Moreover, the GBASE team and fellow participants in the WeChat group were enthusiastic and provided timely answers to every question. The hands-on lab guide for GBase 8s closely mirrored real-world scenarios; working through it from start to finish is the perfect way to get started.
Jiangsu Mobile IT Product Manager: The instructor's teaching was like a sumptuous feast elegantly presented in the classroom. It truly was a case of 'a single conversation across a table with a wise man is worth a month's study of books.' The instructor shared real-world experience without reservation, explaining profound concepts in simple terms — a truly brilliant experience.
Development Engineer at a Bank Software Center: This 13-day course allowed us absolute beginners to learn GBase 8s database principles, installation and deployment, administration and maintenance, and basic SQL development through online lessons. As a result, we are now able to perform essential GBase 8s operations such as installing, managing, importing/exporting data, and using backup features. The instructor also demonstrated every step live, with extremely detailed explanations. I found the course very practical and valuable. At the same time, the instructor provided the courseware in HTML format, allowing us to study alongside the slides and conveniently review them anytime after class. I gained so much from the entire program and hope to continue learning more about GBase.
Jiangsu Servyou Data Architect: This online bootcamp format was incredibly convenient. Not only was the training free, but it also provided a cloud environment for hands-on practice. Most impressively, the instructors’ explanations were incredibly meticulous — they got right to the core of every concept. They also patiently and promptly answered our questions in the group. Many thanks to the instructors and to all the peers who shared their questions throughout the learning journey.
Teacher from the Information School of a Vocational College: Coming from an academic background, I’ve mostly worked with foreign databases and always felt something was missing. This training showed me that Chinese-made databases are just as capable and actually align better with how we Chinese users work. It’s well worth promoting. I believe we can introduce a Chinese database course at our school, nurture a group of students, and gradually advance the use of homegrown databases to foster their wider development.
Architect at a Hubei Archival Technology Company: The free GBase training gave me a completely new perspective on GBASE’s products. The course contained a wealth of material. I spent a few days focusing on it, and the video content proved extremely useful — I tested most of the concepts and found that the database’s SQL compatibility is excellent. Aside from a few specific syntaxes, it is largely compatible with mainstream database products. I was also able to migrate a previous project to GBase with little effort, which felt very straightforward. One point I must highlight is that the training is free. Comparable training from other vendors can cost thousands of yuan. I think this shows real commitment — GBASE is clearly building its ecosystem rather than just chasing profit. I believe a company with such integrity will deliver equally excellent products.
