GBASE & Hexin Technology: Combining Software and Hardware to Build a Foundation for an Independent IT Ecosystem

Recently, GBase (General Data Technology Co., Ltd.) joined forces with Hexin Technology to launch a joint solution that pairs Chinese high-end servers with Chinese databases, focusing on core technologies to drive enterprises’ digital and intelligent transformation.

This solution leverages the GBase 8s shared-storage database cluster from GBASE and the high-end China-developed HX-S1221 server from Hexin Technology.

GBase 8s is independently developed by GBASE. It meets Level 4 security standards for databases (equivalent to international B2 level) and supports international database standards and multiple development interfaces. It supports a variety of deployment modes, including centralized deployment, shared-storage high-availability deployment, and geo-redundant active-active deployment across two sites with three data centers. Suitable for OLTP workloads, it serves core business systems in critical sectors such as finance and telecommunications, as well as high-security information systems for government, Communist Party of China (CPC) organizations, and defense. With high capacity, high concurrency, and high performance, GBase 8s can replace mainstream international databases in most scenarios.

Hexin Technology's HX-S1221 server is a highly reliable and high-performance China-developed server powered by the HX-C1000 processor. It delivers enhanced reliability, flexibility, scalability, and stronger performance. By selecting different CPUs, memory capacities, and I/O expansion cards, it meets the demands of various application scenarios, including databases, virtualization, and in-memory computing. When handling diverse workloads, the HX-S1221 server achieves superior throughput while delivering higher economic efficiency through flexible I/O expansion.

This solution maximizes both software and hardware performance. The disk I/O performance of the server cluster remains consistently at peak levels, with overall batch processing times meeting predetermined targets under high concurrency, while achieving the optimal concurrency for batch execution. Preliminary assessments indicate that in a real-world production environment, batch processing efficiency can be improved by approximately 40%, significantly enhancing hardware resource utilization, reducing deployment time for IT teams, and boosting operational efficiency.

The HX-S1221 server, powered by Hexin Technology’s China-developed HX-C1000 processor, supports up to 8 threads per core, efficiently handling the threading demands of multiple service processes in a microservices architecture. It can accommodate far more services per node than x86 architectures.
