This solution deploys GBase 8a on the Phytium Tengyun S2500 processor, fully harnessing its unique federated architecture, massive parallel data distribution, high-efficiency compression, optimized storage structures, smart indexing, flexible data distribution, and online high-performance scaling. It effectively delivers core advantages—high concurrency, high availability, strong security, easy maintenance, and high-speed loading—providing a professional massive data storage platform that is ideally suited for analytical application scenarios.
Solution Details
This solution is jointly launched by GBase and Phytium. GBase 8a is a columnar, distributed logical data warehouse built on an MPP + Shared Nothing federated architecture. Nodes communicate via TCP/IP networks, with each node using local disk storage. The management, scheduling, and computing clusters can be deployed asymmetrically. GBase 8a is the largest MPP database cluster to have passed all 51 test cases in the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) big data product large-scale capability basic benchmark, and GBase (General Data Technology Co., Ltd.) is also the first Chinese database vendor to complete a specialized performance benchmark at a scale of 4,096 nodes. The solution is built on the Phytium Tengyun S2500 platform, using 10 Gigabit Ethernet networking across multiple nodes to deploy GBase 8a MPP Cluster. Deployment architecture

Implementation Results
GBase 8a, deployed on Phytium's domestic computing platform, underwent comprehensive functional tests including scale-out and scale-in, service management, upgrades, node replacement, backup and recovery, DBLink access, VC management and mirroring, data loading and export, and user security. Performance tests using TPC-H and TPC-DS tools with 1TB and 3TB datasets met expectations. Moreover, GBase 8a passed long-duration stability tests: mixed concurrent workloads of DDL, DML, and queries on TB-scale data, based on TPC-H and TPC-DS models, along with data redistribution. Throughout the tests, no result set errors or node anomalies occurred. The overall solution satisfies massive data storage and analytics demands, maintains 24/7 uninterrupted operation with zero data loss, and meets security requirements.
