Suining Bank Independently Developed OA System Construction Project

Suining Bank Co., Ltd. is a joint-stock commercial bank approved and established in accordance with Chinese law on January 9, 2008. Its business scope includes: accepting public deposits, granting short-term, medium-term and long-term loans, handling domestic settlement, processing bill acceptance and discounting, issuing financial bonds, acting as agent for the issuance, redemption and underwriting of government bonds, trading government bonds and financial bonds, engaging in interbank lending, operating bank card services, providing letter of credit services and guarantees, acting as agent for collection and payment and insurance business, providing safe deposit box services, and other businesses approved by the banking regulatory authority (the above items and terms are subject to the relevant licenses).

As part of this project, Suining Bank is implementing a domestic substitution initiative for its office automation (OA) system. A domestically-developed OA system will be deployed on-premises, and data from the existing OA system will be migrated to the new system.

To meet the requirements for a fully localized IT infrastructure, this project leverages an all-domestic hardware and software platform, with GBase 8s Enterprise Edition as the database. Based on hardware compatibility, the GBase 8s HAC (High Availability Cluster) data cluster solution was ultimately adopted. If the primary database node fails, the standby node can take over within one minute. The failover is completely transparent to applications, minimizing downtime with zero data loss and ensuring a seamless user experience. It also provides load balancing and read-write splitting to boost concurrent data access while ensuring high data availability.

• Fully compatible and adaptable OLTP database: GBase 8s supports all Chinese-made servers and storage, meeting 100% of banking customers' requirements for an all-domestic system and ensuring robust data security for core business systems.
