Project Overview
Project Background
In accordance with the overall requirements of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the former State Administration of Work Safety for emergency management and work safety informatization, the Liaoning Provincial Administration of Work Safety actively advanced the construction of an emergency management "one map" system. Leveraging the network and cloud service resources of the Information Center of the Provincial Government General Office and aligning with the national goals for work safety informatization of "one chessboard, one network, one map, one table," the platform closely integrates information technology with provincial work safety supervision, inspection, and emergency management operations to build the Liaoning Work Safety Information Platform.
Business Requirements
The system encompasses two core business areas, one center, and one platform. The two business areas are emergency rescue command operations and safety supervision operations. The center refers to the Information Resource Management Center, and the platform is the application support platform.
Implementation Plan
The Liaoning Provincial Work Safety Information Platform is built on General Data Technology's GBase database. Data integration and ETL loading are carried out via the Information Resource Management Center platform. Structured data is stored in GBase 8a MPP Cluster, while unstructured data goes into GBase HD. GBase UP provides a unified management layer, and GBase 8a MPP Cluster serves as the consolidated storage for integrated data. Within the database, initial aggregation of various data types is performed, and scattered data is reorganized and computed according to defined rules—such as building data cubes and creating subject-oriented data marts.
The implementation involves 9 virtual machines, including three sets of data development platforms, two sets of the GBase 8a MPP data warehouse, one set of staging database and middleware (Oracle/ETL), and three sets of GBase HD.

Application Results
Deployment Overview
The platform deployed one GBase8a MPP cluster and one GBase HD cluster. The GBase8a cluster consists of 2 nodes (2 management nodes and 2 data nodes), while the GBase HD cluster consists of 3 nodes. Since project launch, the system has been running stably, supporting 20 source application systems and 300 concurrent users.
Results and Value
Benchmark Project: As one of the only two big data pilot projects under China's national work safety authority, GBase participated in the technical framework setup and deployment, and collaborated with third parties to launch the work safety big data platform. The platform was delivered to the national authority and established a big data indicator system for work safety oversight.
Data Integration and Unified Management: Built on the GBase UP big data platform, it effectively integrates the capabilities of both MPP and Hadoop clusters, unifying the management of structured and unstructured data. It consolidates online data and historical data into a single view, provides standard interfaces and a standard data query language, and enables data analytics and data mining capabilities for upper-layer applications. This simplifies big data application development, and with features like data lifecycle management, reduces operational complexity and improves overall cost-effectiveness.
