Project Overview
Project Background
The Tianjin Market Entity Publicity System provides services such as annual report filing, credit repair, and credit information inquiry for enterprises, self-employed businesses, and rural specialized cooperatives across the city. It also supports the Tianjin Municipal Market Regulation Commission, its district bureaus, and local market regulation offices with functions including credit data aggregation, credit information inquiry, abnormal business operation list management, administrative penalty information management, severe illegal and dishonest entity list management, and annual report data statistics and inquiry.
In line with the State Council's initiative to accelerate the adoption of indigenous software and hardware, the customer conducted extensive research and chose to migrate its core business system from a rented supercomputing center to an on-premises data center, replacing the legacy Oracle RAC cluster and progressively advancing the use of indigenous infrastructure products.
Project Requirements
The indigenous database must offer strong compatibility with indigenous hardware and software platforms.
The indigenous database system must deliver comprehensive functionality and robust performance to fully replace the existing database.
Implementation Plan
The system ultimately adopted the GBase multi-mode distributed database cluster from General Data Technology Co., Ltd. as the core, supported by domestic servers and operating systems, to build a fully localized system. During the migration, the core business system was moved from a rented supercomputing center to a self-built data center, while the original centralized database was migrated and upgraded to the GBase distributed database cluster. The GBase distributed database is highly compatible with a wide range of database syntaxes, enabling seamless migration, and it natively integrates with the innovation ecosystem, providing strong support for the upgrade.
The GBase distributed database is currently deployed on four nodes, accounting for 50% of all databases at the site and 70% of the total data volume. The deployed system serves 1.776 million business entities citywide and approximately 2,000 regulatory personnel. The business data migration volume is about 300 GB, and the total access count has exceeded 1.3 billion.
Results
With GBase Distributed Database, the customer completed database migration and replacement smoothly and efficiently. As the core system for critical large-city operations, the platform’s overall performance improved by nearly 20%, with stability meeting business needs. Multiple security mechanisms including data flashback, auditing, masking, and transparent encryption ensure data security.
A full-stack implementation using locally developed servers, operating systems, and databases was achieved, laying a solid foundation for technological self-reliance and control.

During busy periods such as monthly and annual report submissions, online capacity expansion responds to peak user transactions, achieving linear scaling of cluster performance and storage, and improving overall resource utilization.
