Youjiang Water Resources Data Center Construction Project
Project Overview
Project Background
Various types of data at Youjiang Water Resources Company are scattered across different business systems, characterized by diverse formats, separate storage, and decentralized management.
To address fragmented infrastructure, information silos, operational division, data sharing difficulties, and weak support, a unified data management and processing center is required. This will enhance the management efficiency and dispatching capability of water resources in the Youjiang River Basin, covering monitoring data from major reservoirs, hydropower stations, irrigation systems, urban water supply networks, and other water conservancy facilities. By the end of 2025, the total data volume is projected to reach approximately 40TB.
Requirements
Design and implement efficient data processing workflows for rapid response and decision-making.
Provide standard or universal APIs for integration with visualization tools and interactive dashboards.
A flexible system architecture that facilitates future upgrades and expansion.
Support for spatial and geographic data.
Implementation Plan
The Youjiang Water Resources Data Center Construction Project provides services including water and rainfall monitoring, meteorological monitoring, water environment monitoring, supervision and law enforcement, engineering patrol inspection, equipment operation status monitoring, engineering safety monitoring, engineering video surveillance, automatic control monitoring, and seismic monitoring. The project is structurally divided into an application layer and a data layer.
The application layer, i.e., the application support platform, is divided into four parts: common components and services, spatial information services, platform operation and maintenance management and control, and application support tools and products. Each part has its own functions and operations within its scope, connected to the data resource pool through interfaces.
The data layer is the data resource pool, which adopts a combination of GBase Distributed Database and GBase 8a from General Data Technology Co., Ltd. (GBase). Massive monitoring data first undergoes rapid query and retrieval in the GBase Distributed Database, then is synchronously transferred to GBase 8a for analysis, and finally fed back to the upper-layer application support platform. It also provides data resource catalog services, data interface services, and data sharing services to meet the diverse processing needs of different data types.
Benefits
Combine the advanced capabilities of GBase database products to build a high-performance data storage system with data synchronization, ensuring maximum data integrity and consistency.
Provide multi-SQL dialect compatibility to unify business data management across multiple heterogeneous databases.
Excel at unstructured data processing with native support for GIS spatial data, and store and process all types of customer data, including GIS, files, documents, and images.
