GBASE Supports HuaAn Securities in Building an Independently Developed Database Cloud-Native Out-of-Band Management Platform

Huaan Securities, headquartered in Anhui, operates a business network spanning over 20 provinces across China, with 151 securities branches and 13 futures branches. To achieve unified device management across multi‑vendor environments, heterogeneous hardware platforms, and geographically‑dispersed sites, Huaan Securities deployed a centralized data‑center infrastructure management platform — the CloudX Out‑of‑Band (OOB) Management Platform.

As business operations expanded, the legacy system supporting the CloudX OOB Management Platform encountered concurrency bottlenecks and increased system latency. At the end of 2023, the existing home‑grown MXX database was replaced with the GBase 8c distributed database solution from General Data Technology. This migration enhanced database concurrency performance and real‑time response capabilities, while also delivering enterprise‑grade features such as seamless upgrades and online elastic scaling, reserving ample headroom for future management‑capacity expansion.

Based on the requirements for a fully localized IT infrastructure, this project adopts a complete indigenous hardware and software stack, including Huawei Kunpeng servers, KylinOS Advanced Server OS, and a GBase 8c V5 distributed cluster.

The deployment relies on three physical servers running KylinOS V10 ARM, each configured with 64 cores, 128 GB RAM, and dual Gigabit NICs, to support a three-node GBase 8c cluster. A high-availability architecture is designed with three Coordinator (CN) nodes and three HA groups. Business systems access the cluster through CN nodes, with all three servers supporting both read and write operations.

Each server and HA group consists of one primary node and one standby node via cross-active-standby deployment. In the event of a single server failure, standby nodes on other servers can be promoted to primary within one minute. The entire failover process is fully transparent to upper applications, delivering minimal service interruption, zero data loss, and a seamless user experience. The architecture also enables load balancing and read-write separation, effectively improving data access concurrency while ensuring superior system availability.

The DMT (Data Migration Tool) supports one-click full data migration. After passing comprehensive functional verification, a three-day continuous stress test was conducted via JMeter to simulate peak business concurrency and validate overall service performance. With core data successfully migrated through DMT, the business system achieved smooth go-live. The team also configured scheduled database backup tasks, optimized on-site security policy parameters in strict accordance with customer specifications, and delivered a complete configuration solution. Regular inspection scripts were deployed for ongoing production environment monitoring, ensuring long-term stable and uninterrupted business operations.

Huaan Securities completed a database upgrade by adopting the GBase solution. Offering high concurrency, strong expandability, and distributed transaction processing, GBase effectively boosts system security, performance, compliance and scalability. It delivers robust technical support for the firm’s business innovation and sustainable growth, while elevating customer service quality and strengthening market competitiveness.

In real‑world business model tests of the CloudX Out‑of‑Band (OOB) Management Platform, around 320,000 metrics were generated for 2,000 devices. For monitoring data collection, five requests were sent to the database in each cycle, with each request carrying 300 UPDATE and INSERT operations. The legacy home‑grown MXX database crashed under the 2,000‑device workload. By contrast, the GBase 8c distributed database deployed per the above architecture maintained stable operation supporting up to 4,000 devices.
