Solutions
This solution leverages the high-performance GBase 8a columnar database. With its strong compression capabilities, it efficiently manages 30TB of compressed structured big data. It provides mature data migration tools that support multiple methods for data type conversion and data transfer between different databases, powering interactive reporting and GIS modules.
Under a compressed state, data queries achieve sub-second response, enabling high-performance analytics. The system architecture is built upon the marine economic indicator system, security assurance system, and system operation and maintenance framework, and adopts a five-layer model: infrastructure layer, data resource layer, middleware layer, application support layer, and application layer. On top of the existing foundational hardware and software such as the marine private network, data is aggregated into two thematic databases built on GBase 8a in the data resource layer and managed. The middleware layer provides pipeline services like the GIS engine and workflow middleware, facilitating the five application-layer systems to access and manipulate the thematic databases using management and service support tools from the application support layer.
Requirements Analysis
Building upon the pilot implementation, the requirement is to migrate data from disparate databases and consolidate multiple data sources. It should also support BI and GIS modules for data visualization and analysis to enable decision support. Key performance requirements: intranet response time ≤3s, more than 500 clients, internet response time ≤5s, no less than 100 concurrent users, 3-year operational log retention, and a mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeding 10,000 hours.
Project Background
As a coastal city in the Bohai Economic Rim and one of China’s four direct-administered municipalities, Tianjin derives a significant portion of its GDP from the marine economy. However, rapid growth has exposed critical gaps: insufficient capacity to collect marine economic monitoring information hampers macro-level regulation, and weak assessment capabilities constrain sustainable development. To address these challenges, it is essential to integrate marine-related data from relevant government departments, enable data sharing, querying, visualization, and monitoring reporting, while also leveraging foundational marine datasets to conduct robust evaluations of the marine economy.
