Project Significance

By studying how meteorological factors affect city gas consumption, this project plays a vital role in ensuring the economical, safe, and reliable operation of the gas supply system.

1. Enhanced management of gas consumption and meteorological data.

By integrating gas consumption and meteorological data resources, this project enables the collection and consolidation of SCADA system data, enterprise data, external market price data, and relevant meteorological data from Xiqing District Meteorological Bureau. It breaks down data silos in gas consumption and meteorological information, laying a solid foundation for data analysis in the intelligent early warning and command platform.

2. Strengthened decision-making support capabilities based on gas consumption and meteorological data.

Through comprehensive visualization of gas consumption and meteorological data, leaders and relevant operational staff can promptly and intuitively understand the district's gas consumption and meteorological analysis results. Integrated with a 3D GIS system, it enables the integrated display of gas load analysis results. This strengthens the auxiliary decision-making capability of gas consumption and meteorological data for gas dispatching, resolves gas supply strains caused by environmental and seasonal changes, and significantly reduces gas storage investment costs.

Project Introduction

Weather is a critical factor influencing daily city gas consumption. Actual gas usage in cities is shaped by multiple elements—weather, user type composition, supply conditions—with seasonal and meteorological factors having the most pronounced impact. Understanding the pattern of how weather affects gas consumption is essential for improving load forecasting accuracy and ensuring the economical, safe, and reliable operation of gas supply systems.

This project establishes a gas‑weather forecasting, early‑warning, and command platform centered on consumption and meteorological data analysis. Leveraging Internet+, cloud computing, IoT, and big data technologies, it examines the impact of temperature and other meteorological factors on daily gas usage and analyzes the temperature‑response characteristics of consumption. The platform enables intelligent forecasting and scientific analysis, providing the Xiqing Development Zone with accurate consumption reporting, rational gas allocation, and guidance for emergency repair and technical prevention work.

1. Infrastructure Layer

The infrastructure layer includes hardware facilities such as network topology and layout, servers, and storage, as well as foundational software platforms like operating systems, middleware, and database management systems. Among these, the GBase 8s Secure Database from General Data Technology Co., Ltd. (GBase) is used to support data storage and computing.

2. Data Resource Layer

The data resource layer consists of the basic data layer, central data layer, and thematic data layer. Data sources include external market price data, weather data, SCADA system data, and enterprise data. Based on these sources, a comprehensive gas and weather database is built. Subsequently, thematic databases for gas volume, weather, and metadata are constructed according to business analysis requirements.

3. Data Application Layer

Built on the data resource layer, this layer provides gas and weather data information resources and application service support to the Gas Company of Xiqing Economic Development Zone. It mainly includes a gas and weather analysis results display subsystem and a 3D GIS integrated display subsystem.

4. Portal Presentation Layer

The system portal is the website of the early warning and command intelligence platform for the gas company, serving as a key channel for managing gas information resources.

5. System Standard Specification Framework and System Security & Operations Management System

These two systems, positioned as the "two wings" of the overall architecture, are the key pillars of the entire project and run through the construction of every layer of the system architecture.
