GBase Drives Insurance Digital Innovation at the China Property Insurance Technology Application Summit
On September 29, 2021, the China Property Insurance Technology Application Summit, hosted by Sinosoft Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Beijing. As a leading Chinese database provider, GBase was invited to exhibit and presented a range of core products, including GBase 8a, GBase 8s, and GBase 8c, attracting considerable attention from the attendees.
The summit, themed “Insurance Transformation and Innovation in the New Economic Era,” adopted a hybrid format combining an offline venue with an online cloud summit. Over 400 IT executives from insurance companies and technical experts from insurtech firms participated in the event.

GBase 8a is a high-performance, homegrown database independently developed by GBase, designed for massive data query and analysis applications. It addresses the growing data storage, management, and processing needs of data-intensive industries—including data queries, statistics, analytics, data mining, and backup. It can serve as the underpinning database for data warehouse systems, BI systems, and decision support systems. GBase 8a is primarily deployed in government, Party organizations, security-sensitive agencies, national defense, statistics, audit, banking and insurance regulation, securities regulation, as well as in telecommunications, finance, electric power, and other sectors with massive volumes of business data, particularly excelling in the business analytics and business intelligence market.
GBase 8s is a mature and stable enterprise-class transactional database that has achieved Security Database Level 4 (equivalent to TCSEC B2). It supports Chinese cryptographic algorithms and international database standards and development interfaces such as SQL92/99, ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET, GCI (OCI/OCCI), and Python. GBase 8s supports distributed deployment, centralized deployment, shared-storage high-availability deployment, and geo-redundant deployment across two sites with three centers, delivering high capacity, high concurrency, and high performance. It provides a cost-effective general-purpose computing platform for ultra-large-scale data management. GBase 8s is suitable for OLTP application scenarios, including mission-critical core business systems in finance and telecommunications, as well as information systems with high security requirements in security, government, and defense sectors, offering 24x7 uninterrupted processing capabilities.
GBase 8c is a distributed transactional database cluster built on a shared-nothing architecture. It features high performance, high availability, elastic scalability, and strong security, and can be deployed on physical machines, virtual machines, containers, private clouds, and public clouds. GBase 8c provides secure, stable, and reliable data storage and management services for core systems in critical industries, internet business systems, and government and enterprise business systems.
To date, GBase database products and services cover all 32 provincial-level administrative regions in China. They have been deployed in over 100 industries, including finance, telecommunications, government, energy, transportation, and defense, serving more than 10,000 users with over 30,000 nodes established and a total data management capacity exceeding 300 PB.
