GBASE Accelerates Industry IT Application Innovation at National Postdoctoral Forum on IT Application Innovation and AI Development
On December 11, the "2021 National Postdoctoral Academic Forum on IT Application Innovation and AI Development" was successfully held in Tianjin. The forum is organized by the Office of the National Postdoctoral Management Committee, China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (Service Center for Overseas Students and Experts), Tianjin Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and Tianjin Binhai New Area People's Government. GBase was invited to the event and delivered a keynote speech titled "Introduction to China-Developed Databases Supporting Industrial IT Application Innovation."
With the theme of "IT Application Innovation and AI Development", the forum featured special sessions on technological innovation research, industrial application, talent cultivation and development, etc. It was attended by over 200 participants including Academician Wang Yaonan of the China Academy of Engineering, Professor Wang Guoyin of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, leaders from well-known organizations in the industry, as well as experts, scholars, PhDs, and postdoctoral fellows, aiming to create a high-end cutting-edge communication platform that tightly integrates government, industry, academia, research, and application in the field of IT application innovation and AI.
In recent years, under the new international economic, political, and technological landscape, the urgency and importance of the IT application innovation industry have been elevated to an unprecedented level. The IT application innovation industry has become a national strategy in China and is also a new driver of domestic economic development under the current trends. China-developed databases, as part of IT infrastructure, are a critical link in the new infrastructure and IT application innovation ecosystem. GBase, as a leading provider of China-developed databases, is also a vital player in the development of the IT application innovation industry.
In her report "Introduction to China-Developed Databases Supporting Industrial IT Application Innovation," Yang Weiwei, Director of the General Engineering Office at GBase, introduced the attending PhDs to the background of industrial IT application innovation, database selection, and the large-scale application of the GBase series databases in sectors such as finance and telecommunications.
GBase's Postdoctoral Research Workstation was approved in June 2021. This move not only builds a bridge between the company's technical needs and scientific research, but will also further rely on the scientific research strengths of universities and GBase's engineering innovation capabilities, combined with local government basic software research projects, to unleash the intrinsic drive of scientific research and propel scientific research innovation and industrial development.
At the same time, GBase is accelerating the establishment of postdoctoral workstations and other initiatives to attract specialized talents for the IT application innovation industry, cultivate and retain high-level professionals, and maintain long-term continuity in talent development policies.
