GBase & Hebei University of Technology School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science CPC Branch Co-building and Graduate Training Base Cooperation Signing Ceremony Successfully Held

On the afternoon of February 18, 2022, the signing ceremony for the CPC branch co-building and graduate training base cooperation between Tianjin General Data Technology Co., Ltd. (GBase) and the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science of Hebei University of Technology was held in the 23rd floor conference room of Potevio Innovation Park. GBase Chairman Ding Mingfeng, Senior Vice President Zhao Wei, Director of the General Engineering Office Yang Weiwei, and Human Resources Director Yuan Yan, along with university representatives including Dean Gu Junhua, CPC Committee Secretary Liang Huichao, and Deputy Department Head Liu Hongpu of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science of Hebei University of Technology, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Yuan Yan.

Prior to the meeting, Yang Weiwei, Director of the General Engineering Office, led the university experts and scholars on a tour of the company's exhibition hall, introducing the company's development history, key cases in critical sectors such as finance and telecommunications, as well as the technological achievements and honors earned over the years.

At the beginning of the meeting, GBase Chairman Ding Mingfeng delivered a welcome speech, expressing a warm welcome to the professors from Hebei University of Technology and introducing the current development of China's database industry and the specific needs of enterprises for university graduates. He emphasized that basic research is the source of scientific and technological innovation, and universities are the key entities for basic research. He noted that by working together, enterprises and universities can clarify the source and underlying logic, which is critical to overcoming key technology bottlenecks. The key to innovation lies in talent. He expressed the hope that through the establishment of this joint graduate training base, both sides can continuously cultivate professional database talents, providing a 'source of vitality' for building national strategic science and technology forces and tackling core technologies.

Dean Gu Junhua of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Hebei University of Technology introduced the basic situation of the school and discussed specific measures to accelerate the reform of graduate education through integration of science and education and integration of industry and education, continuously improving graduate students' innovation ability and comprehensive quality. He elaborated on deepening the comprehensive reform of "Three-Whole Education" to promote an innovative talent cultivation model involving all staff, throughout the entire process, and in all dimensions. Focusing on "integrating engineering and learning, win-win for university and enterprise," he discussed the specific approach of accelerating the construction of an ecosystem for graduate education that integrates science and education and industry and education, i.e., using discipline construction as the carrier, strengthening graduate students' research practice and innovation and entrepreneurship education, enhancing scientific research education, implementing integrated undergraduate and graduate education, building a management innovation system that uses national key and major science and technology programs to cultivate talent, establishing a collaborative training mechanism that promotes mutual progress between science-education integration and industry-education integration, and constructing a practice-oriented, application-focused teaching system to organically combine knowledge learning with scientific research and competency development.

At the meeting, Ding Mingfeng and Gu Junhua signed the "Cooperation Agreement on the Construction of the 'Tianjin General Data Technology Co., Ltd. & Hebei University of Technology School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Industry-Education Integration Graduate Training Base'" on behalf of both parties.

Zhao Wei, Secretary of the General CPC Branch and Senior Vice President of GBase, stated that GBase has always been a backbone enterprise in China's IT application innovation development. The company not only focuses on its commercial development but also shoulders the mission of ensuring independent and controllable core technologies. Party building cooperation is an important way to enhance corporate cohesion and combat effectiveness, and the company attaches great importance to the ideological dynamics of young employees. The company's General CPC Branch will learn from the university's advanced party building experience, carry out paired assistance among party members, and implement the Party's guidelines and policies. Through branch co-building between the two sides, grassroots party organizations will engage in exchange and cooperation, with a common starting point of helping young students and employees jointly establish correct values, with veteran party members guiding and assisting the growth of young party members. Liang Huichao, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Hebei University of Technology, noted that witnessing the company's achievements and its influence in the software industry, GBase, as the graduate training base for the School of Intelligence, with its corporate spirit of serving national strategic needs and its culture of pursuing excellence, will undoubtedly have a significant impact on students' character development, broadening their horizons, enhancing their talents, and improving their abilities. The school adheres to the discipline team as the unit for graduate cultivation, and has established discipline team supervisor CPC branches (functional) to facilitate the construction of a "supervisor-student ideological and political education" system, strengthen supervisors' responsibility for fostering virtue through education, and promote the "Three-Whole Education" initiative. This branch "pairing and co-building" is a concrete measure to implement the strategic cooperation agreement between the GBase General CPC Branch and the School of Intelligence CPC Committee. It is hoped that the enterprise technical department CPC branch and the supervisor CPC branch (functional) will actively explore effective ways for branch co-building to promote scientific research cooperation, joint research, and collaborative education through joint party member management, shared resources, co-organized activities, mutual services, and shared outcomes.

Fan Shulei and Liu Hongpu signed the "Co-building Agreement between the First CPC Branch of Tianjin General Data Technology Co., Ltd. and the Discipline Team Supervisor CPC Branch (Functional) of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science of Hebei University of Technology" on behalf of both parties.

In the future, GBase will continue to leverage its advantages as the main driver of technological innovation, remain market-oriented and talent-centric, and build a joint industry-university-research community of shared interests with universities and research institutes, further promoting the in-depth integration and development of industry, academia, research, and application.
