Project Overview
Anhui Province is seizing the moment with a high-level vision, placing the “Digital Jianghuai” initiative at the strategic core in response to China’s national big data strategy, and striving to make great strides in the new digital landscape. The construction of the Jianghuai Big Data Center Master Platform is a key milestone in this journey. It serves as a concrete and critical step to implement the “Digital China” strategy and advance the “Data Jianghuai” agenda. As the central hub for provincial data aggregation, sharing, and services, it meets the one-stop data service requirements of Anhui’s provincial and municipal government agencies.
The project leverages emerging technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence to achieve efficient data processing, fusion and sharing, and open data enablement. By building a province-wide, unified, standardized, and collaboratively utilized big data platform, Anhui aims to establish an integrated provincial data resource management system. This accelerates the collection, aggregation, sharing, and innovative application of data resources, enabling comprehensive convergence of government, economic, and social data. The platform fully supports the entire lifecycle of data ingestion, governance, utilization, supervision, visibility, and evaluation, transforming data aggregation advantages into tangible data service capabilities. It provides both the data backbone and platform support for the “Wanshitongban” (Anhui Government Services Platform) and the digital transformation of Anhui Province.
Implementation Plan
The Anhui Digital Jianghuai Center adopted the GBase 8s database from General Data Technology (GBase) to build the Jianghuai Big Data Center main platform. Through the "1+16+N" framework—one main platform, 16 municipal sub-platforms, and N provincial department sub-platforms—it achieves unified management, interconnection, and shared construction of cross-department and cross-level data resources across the province. Leveraging GBase 8s's core capabilities, including high-concurrency connections and operations and shared-storage clustering, it delivers efficient and precise data services. This drives digital service rollout across industries, departments, and domains, offering citizens a smarter experience.
Overall Platform Architecture
With GBase 8s's high-performance transaction processing, real-time data interaction is greatly enhanced, enabling the aggregation and sharing of hundreds of millions of government information entries. Based on service and data-sharing needs, subject models are built to support massive concurrent access, meeting the demands of smart approval and efficient digital government services.
Application Benefits
The GBase 8s database at the Anhui Provincial Digital Jianghuai Center now consolidates data resources from 57 provincial departments and 16 cities across the province. It has been integrated with six business systems, including the Wanshitong (Anhui government service) sub-system, government service sub-system, resource sub-system, and portal website, and has established foundational databases for population and legal entities, as well as thematic databases for business environment, government services, and Party-building-led credit villages. It provides one-stop data service capabilities for all levels and departments across the province.
In the “Jianghuai Big Data Center General Platform” project, GBase 8s provides digital support for Smart Anhui, significantly enhancing the interaction and concurrent processing capabilities of business data, achieving efficient real-time transaction processing and high concurrency. It has become a benchmark among provincial data center platforms, providing practical experience and a solid foundation for driving digital transformation across provinces nationwide.
