Solutions
GBase deploys its cloud-ready GBase 8a MPP Cluster as the parallel computing platform to support the data environment, storing and managing cross-regional, multi-year, and cross-departmental national tax data at a scale of hundreds of terabytes. By leveraging high-efficiency compression, intelligent indexing, and a Shared-Nothing MPP cluster architecture, it boosts analytical query performance by more than 10 times. High-availability mechanisms ensure system and data stability and security, while online dynamic scaling allows the seamless addition of storage and compute nodes, enhancing the comprehensive data management capabilities of the Golden Tax Phase III (China’s national tax administration system). The system architecture is built on three layers: the public data analysis support platform, the parallel computing support platform, and the Golden Tax business system.
The public data analysis support platform collects tax data from provincial-level tax authorities nationwide. After being processed by ETL tools, the data is loaded into the GBase 8a MPP Cluster. A 1:1 backup via the SafeGroup mechanism safeguards data security and enhances parallel computing power, providing robust data and computational support to the Golden Tax business system.

The management decision-making system of the Golden Tax Phase III requires: storing hundreds of terabytes of data; supporting multiple applications with over 500 concurrent users and query response times in seconds; enabling ad-hoc queries and multidimensional analysis, summary data reporting, online archiving and backup to facilitate management decision-making; and seamless online scaling to accommodate future business growth.
Project Background
The Golden Tax Project is one of the national "Twelve Golden" e-government initiatives, a strategically significant national information system project. Its management decision system is a key component of Phase III of the Golden Tax Project. The parallel computing support platform of Golden Tax Phase III provides data management support for business applications such as tax collection and management status analysis and tax revenue accounting. The current system data scale has reached hundreds of terabytes, and the existing Oracle database's analytical performance can no longer meet user requirements.
